A Village of Love and Diversity— The Taytungian Christmas Love

Christmas is the season of love, joy, and giving With this, the Junior High School students of Bacolod Tay Tung High School reawakened the Tay Tung Christmas Spirit by preparing a Christmas village for the children of Gawad Kalinga-Cabug

The Christmas Village project is an interdisciplinary performance task headed by the Edukasyon sa Pagpapakatao (ESP) department Its thrust is to strengthen collaboration, leadership, and camaraderie among junior high school students The students were divided into four- groups with the respective themes, namely; the First Christmas, White Christmas, Latin-American Christmas, and Filipino-Chinese Christmas

Each of the groups created lifesized booths to bring the Christmas culture from all around the world into the campus The Grade 10 students led and spearheaded every team, while the Grade 7 and 8 built the booths The creation lasted for three weeks, which truly showed the dedication of the students to make the impossible

On December 9, 2022, the ribbons were cut, and officially opened the village to the public. During the program, the Grade 9 students presented a short dance presentation to make showcase the spirit of Christmas in every culture The children surely had so much fun visiting the Christmas village, purchasing some drinks, and taking part in the many activities that each booth had planned
