Sample cases
• Defence of a breast surgeon in a high value claim for damages. The claim related to a breast uplift procedure which resulted in scarring and asymmetry. Revision surgery required. The Pursuer claimed the surgeon had over resected the breast tissue in the lower poles of the breasts. Claim settled on an economic basis for a much lower value than claimed. No admission of liability.
• Defence of a breast surgeon in a claim for damages in which liability was denied. This led to the Pursuer abandoning the claim in the face of our supportive expert evidence.
