The Prince George’s County Alumni Chapter of the Bowie State University National Alumni Association, Inc welcomes you to our 2025 Alumni Social Affair at Martin’s Crosswinds We extend a heartfelt thank you for sharing in this special event
This is our signature event to raise funds to give scholarships to students at our dear Alma Mater, Bowie State University. This is my 1 st year as President of Prince Georges’ Chapter and excited about the future and growth of this Chapter.
Prince George’s Chapter gave me a scholarship as a mature student returning to school. I vowed to help the Chapter and Bowie State University National Alumni Association once I graduated. Since graduating, I served as the Correspondence Secretary, Financial Secretary, and Vice President.
To Rose Coleman and the Annual Scholarship Committee, thank you for your commitment, dedication and diligence. Your continued support is truly appreciated.
The Prince George’s Chapter thanks each of you for your continued support as we continue to add value to our alma mater and students.
With heartfelt appreciation,
AnitaD.Ford President

Alma Mater
Composed by Charlotte B. Robinson
Published November 1929
There's a spot in my heart that never grows cold
There's a place in my memory that never grows old.
There's a prayer on my lips that I'll ever be true To God and my country, to Bowie State, my school
Chorus
Oh, Bowie State, dear Bowie State May you forever be the flame of faith
The torch of truth
To guide the steps of youth.
There's a song in my heart that I'll ever sing
Of the beauties of Bowie State that each season brings
There's a pledge in my heart, that I'll ever keep true To uphold the standards of Bowie State, my school.
The Alma Mater song, written by Charlotte B. Robinson. She taught music here for more than 30 years. Her version of the song continues to be the official Alma Mater for Bowie State University today.
