Cedar Rapids Little Library | Spring 2021
In collaboration with Nolan Sullivan, Madison Cardenas, Tim Zhang, and Thomas Hewitt After the Iowa Derecho, we reached out to the cedar rapids community to offer our assistance. We found a homeowner looking to set up a little library that would engage the surrounding community by providing books to read! Our design includes two storage cubbies, one lower for kids’ books and the second higher for adult books. This provides an inclusive way of attracting all ages within the community. The homeowners were passionate about gardening, so we incorporated planters as the roof of the little library.
