3D Printed Clay Bricks | Fall 2021 The design is an interpretation of the standardized brick and takes shape with concave and convexed sides. With the curvature of the sides, the bricks rely less on mortar and open up the opportunity for facade texture. By 3D printing the clay bricks, significantly less material is used in comparison to the conventional brick. Through this project, I learned a lot about the temperament of printing clay and how to find different ways of achieving a form through the printing challenges.
