President Emma Sam I started at Bond in 153 after moving from Adelaide to study a Bachelor of Laws and Business. Currently in my 4th semester, I have endeavoured to contribute to Bond as much as possible! I am very excited about the potential opportunity to act as President and what I could bring to the role. If elected to the role of President, I aim to: • Lead by example: I am a highly driven, motivated and organised individual. I believe that true success as a leader comes from engagement with those you are leading. I aim to be connected with not only my committee, but the entirety of the Business School. • Be approachable at all times: I am a highly energetic and approachable person. I have a diverse network here at Bond and am eager to expand it! I would love to develop a personal relationship with as many of the Business Students as possible!

Mathais Madsen I graduated with a Bachelor of Economics and Management in Denmark before coming to Australia to commence my Masters in Finance in 161. Of note, I was recently selected as a Mayor’s International Student Ambassador amongst 13 other students to promote educational opportunities at the Gold Coast. This experience provided exceptional networking opportunities to connect with various business leaders and learn from their experiences. If elected as President, I will facilitate a united and collaborative BSA committee to subsequently create value for all students. I am fully dedicated to all my endeavours and will do the same if elected. Additionally, I aim to collaborate with other student organisations to ensure there are abundant events to engage students in the university through clubs and societies. I finally hope to maintain the work the current committee has done regarding the improvement of the association’s financial position and overall wellbeing.

secretary Stacey Messini Hello! I’m Stacey Messini and I’m running for 2016/17 BSA Secretary. I started at Bond in 162 studying International Hotel and Tourism Management. In my degree, we put a lot of focus on people and what they hope to get out of an experience. My degree is quite simply all about organising and managing people, and their desires and needs. A skill which I believe directly coincides with those required of a Secretary. To this extent, my experiences have furnished me into a decisive, independent and outgoing worker. Coupled with this, I am currently a HR Intern at the Sheraton, where I have learned a lot about managing and coordinating a group of people with the aim of achieving common goals. This is something I believe the BSA will be in urgent need of which I believe I can bring, especially upon the formation of this new committee.
