s spring bloomed on Bryant’s 428-acre campus, our community celebrated Bryant’s 159th Commencement exercises. The Class of 2022 has been busy accepting job offers and planning for life after college. Last year, 99% of the Class of 2021 was either employed (with an average salary of $64,000) or enrolled in graduate school just six months after their Commencement, and we expect the same for this year’s seniors. Throughout its history, Bryant has emphasized career readiness and experiential learning to prepare students for a lifelong journey. We are thrilled to celebrate the Class of 2022 as they begin their next chapter and join the international network of Bryant alumni. It’s exciting to think about future Commencement ceremonies in our new Convocation Center and Arena, Bryant’s recently announced premier athletic facility and performing arts venue, which is slated to break ground next year. The Convocation Center and Arena will be a hub for activities that will bring the entire Bryant community together, including as the future home of Convocation and Commencement exercises bookending each academic year. It will also serve as the home of our basketball and volleyball teams. This year, the men’s basketball team’s success helped to shine the continues on page 11
