Our real estate and construction group advises on all matters involving real estate, including complex property transactions, real estate financing, development projects and construction law.

We have been entrusted with a variety of highprofile, complex cases, and our clients include a number of the most active players in the Danish real estate sector.

We often act on behalf of international investors in the Danish market. We are attuned to the particular needs of our international clients with regard to understanding the unique features of the Danish real estate market.

We have established a strong network with the leading mortgage credit institutions, banks, contractors, real estate agents and other key players in the Danish real estate market.

As the only Danish law firm we are placed in Band/Tier 1 for both Real Estate and Construction

BAND 1 TIER 1

Acquisition of 50% of Svanemølleholm

We have advised KanAm Grund Group, which has entered into a joint venture with AP Ejendomme, in connection with the acquisition of 50% of Svanemølleholm in Copenhagen − a newly built office property.

The transaction is Denmark’s largest single asset transaction in 2025.

One of Denmark’s largest energy communities

We are advising Fælledby, a joint venture between Udviklingsselskabet By & Havn and PensionDanmark, on the establishment and organisation of a new energy community to supply the entire new district of Amager Fælled.

The energy community is one of Denmark’s largest to date.

Acquisition of rental complex

We advised the pension investor PenSam on the acquisition of the newly built residential rental property ‘Anemonehuset’ comprising 78 units.

The development is characterised by a strong climate focus, featuring a lowenergy design, solar panels, a rainwater collection system, and green roofs.

Sale of five retail centres

We advised Nrep on the sale of a portfolio consisting of five retail and local shopping centres to the Canadian asset manager Slate Asset Management.

The transaction ranks among the largest real estate deals of the year in terms of transaction value.

Acquisition in Ørestaden

We advised Sampension in connection with the acquisition of the new residential property ‘Marthahus’ comprising 12,000 m² with 154 residential units.

FLSmidth’s HQ

We advised a joint venture between Nrep and AG Gruppen in connection with the acquisition of FLSmidth’s iconic headquarters in Valby.

The property shares the same cadastral number as the building we assisted Akademikerpension with acquiring earlier this year.

The property comprises nearly 72,000 m² of development rights and is expected to be transformed into a new, mixed-use urban district.

New district in central Copenhagen

We are advising Thylander Gruppen and KanAm Grund Group on the development of the brand new district Laksegade Kvarteret.

The historic buildings, formerly the headquarters of Danske Bank, cover 16 buildings totalling 50,000 m².

Stejlepladsen P/S

We advised Stejlepladsen P/S, a joint venture consisting of By & Havn and PFA Ejendomme, on the continuation of the collaboration with Sjælsø Management ApS regarding the realisation of Stejlepladsen Phases 2 and 3.

Phases 2 and 3 encompass the construction of 574 homes, comprising both public and private buildings.

Platinum certified office headquarters

We advised Industriens Pension in connection with the development of a new office building in Nordhavn, Copenhagen. The property will have a total area of over 14,000 m² and will serve as Bruun & Hjejle’s new headquarter. The building will be environmentally certified platinum after DNGB standards.

Residential rental property

We advised Fokus Nordic (on behalf of Kjøbenhavns Boligejendomsselskab) on the acquisition of a residential rental property on Rådmandsgade in Nørrebro, Copenhagen.

The total property covers an area of 2,984 m², divided into 40 apartments.

Danske Shoppingcentre

We advised Danske Shoppingcentre in connection with the sale of a residential project on top of Glostrup Shoppingcenter to capital manager CapMan.

The project includes the development of an approximately 10,600 m² residential project divided into 137 residential units.

Pan-Nordic hotel portfolio

We advised CapMan on the acquisition of a pan-Nordic hotel portfolio from Swedish Midstar.

With this transaction, CapMan acquires a hotel portfolio consisting of 28 hotel properties with a total of 4,709 rooms, primarily located in Oslo, Stockholm and Copenhagen.

‘Kamillehuset’

We advised pension investor Pensam on the acquisition of 145 residential units, nine commercial units and 150 parking spaces from Heimstaden Bostad.

Together with Fokus Nordic, EY, Colliers and KHR, we advised Pensam on the valuable addition of ‘Kamillehuset’, located close to Rødovre Centrum, to their portfolio.

Hvidovre shopping center

We advised Danske Shoppingcentre on the sale of shopping center ”Hvidovre C” to property developer Propreco A/S.

Danske Shoppingcentre owns 16 shopping centres across Denmark.

The new owners will develop the centre and add housing in the area.

PensionDanmark

We advised PensionDanmark on a development agreement with Allerød Municipality for the construction of the independent care home ‘Louisehjemmet Allerød’ north of Copenhagen.

The care home will be located in a brand-new residential area in Allerød called ‘Teglværkskvarteret’, which covers a total of 60,500 m².

Joint venture acquires luxury property

We advised a joint venture between Swedish Alma Property Partners and Danish Kristensen Properties throughout the transaction process in connection with the acquisition of the property ‘Metropolis’ located on Strøget in Copenhagen for DKK 220 million.

Large project investment

We advised Nrep and their NSF V-fund in connection with the acquisition of a combined hotel and residential project being built in Ørestad by Skanska. The transaction is carried out as a forward purchase and the project, which will be an ambitious and sustainable wooden building, is expected to be completed in H2, 2026.

Bob W Technologies

We advised Bob W Technologies Denmark ApS on signing a long-term lease for 7,500 m² in a former police station located in Copenhagen’s iconic Meatpacking district.

Six properties for student housing

We advised Sampension on the acquisition of six properties featuring student accommodations located in Denmark’s four largest cities: Copenhagen, Odense, Aarhus, and Aalborg. The properties have a combined area of 11,214 m².

Egedal Stationsby

We advised Industriens Pension in connection with the development of the large urban development area Landskabsbyen in Egedal Municipality with the construction of up to 900 sustainable homes spread over a total of approximately 75,000 m².

Lyngby Shopping centre

We advised Danske Shoppingcentre and Lyngby Storcenter on the development of a new hotel project in the hotel tower located on top of the centre and on leasing the completed hotel tower.

After a thorough renovation, Comwell will become the new hotel operator at the property.

Jernbanebyen

We advised Baneby Konsortiet, equally owned by Nrep, Novo Holdings and Industriens Pension, on a joint venture with DSB. This unique collaboration aims to develop the 365,000 m² area and create one of the world’s healthiest city areas.

DIS Foundation

We have advised the DIS Foundation in connection with the acquisition of the landmark property ‘Sølvgades Kaserne’.

The property, located at Kongens Have in Copenhagen, contains 463 student residences with associated common areas and a number of commercial leases.

Skanska A/S

We have advised Skanska A/S in connection with the sale of the 12,000 m² residential property C.F. Møllers Have in Ørestad to Home.Earth.

The DGNB Gold-certified property consists of 156 fully let apartments designed to promote community and sustainability.
