The Foundation for Free Enterprise Education (FFEE) is paving the way for a brighter future by equipping Pennsylvania’s youth with the skills, knowledge, and confidence to succeed. Through its innovative programs, FFEE fosters a deep understanding of the free enterprise system while preparing students for personal and professional success.
At the heart of FFEE’s mission is its flagship program, Pennsylvania Free Enterprise Week (PFEW), which has been inspiring high school students for over 46 years. Each summer, students from across the state step into the roles of corporate executives, working in teams to navigate realworld business challenges. Along the way, they develop critical thinking, leadership, and teamwork skills that will serve them for a lifetime.
But PFEW is more than a business program—it’s a life-changing journey. Students leave with newfound confidence, lifelong friendships, and a clearer vision for their future. Many participants describe the week as “transformational,” with alumni often calling it the best week of their lives.
In 2025, PFEW will debut a Reality Fair, an interactive simulation that teaches students how to navigate real-world financial decisions. From budgeting and managing expenses to saving for the future, this hands-on experience equips students with essential life skills to prepare them for adulthood.
FFEE’s programming extends beyond PFEW. The Speaker Series connects students with accomplished professionals from various industries and youth opportunities across the state, offering inspiration and practical career insights. The Stock Market Game™ introduces students to the principles of investing and financial literacy, providing teachers with valuable classroom resources while helping students meet key educational benchmarks. All FFEE programs align with Pennsylvania’s education standards, ensuring they are both impactful and relevant.
However, none of this would be possible without the incredible partners who bring these programs to life. Each summer, dedicated professionals, educators, and community members join PFEW as mentors, company advisors, and guest speakers. Volunteering at PFEW is an opportunity to make a tangible difference in the lives of young people while sharing your expertise and enthusiasm. Volunteers often say the experience is as rewarding for them as it is for the students.
FFEE also relies on the support of local businesses, schools, and community organizations. These partnerships empower the foundation to offer sponsorships, guaranteeing that every student, regardless of financial circumstances, has access to the unique PFEW opportunity. Together, these collaborations are shaping the next generation of leaders and innovators who will drive Pennsylvania’s economy forward.
To support PFEW or to learn more about these vital FFEE programs, visit www.pfew.org or contact VP of Marketing & Development Scott Lee at (814) 833-9576 ext. 8, or scott@pfew.org. Together, we can empower Pennsylvania’s youth to achieve greatness and build a brighter future for all.

Most business owners didn’t start their company because they love selling. They started because they had a great idea, a passion, or an expertise. Then reality hit. If you can’t sell, you can’t grow.
That’s where I come in. I’m Colleen Watson, owner of Sandler by Colleen Watson Inc., and I help CEOs, business owners, and sales leaders sell more, exceed quotas, and drive real revenue growth—without feeling pushy, desperate, or exhausted.
With decades of experience leading sales teams and running my own business, I know firsthand that sales isn’t about luck or charisma. It’s a process, and when done right, it’s repeatable, scalable, and (dare I say) even fun.
My ongoing sales training isn’t about quick fixes or one-off workshops. I help businesses build long-term sales success by focusing on behavior, technique, and mindset. Through reinforcement and accountability, my clients go from chasing deals to closing them with confidence
Want to Sell More Without the Stress? If you or your sales team struggle with:

Will Griffin, Center Director and Owner of Mathnasium of Montgomeryville, brings a wealth of experience and passion to the newly opened math learning center in Chalfont. With a strong corporate background from firms like PwC, Kraft Heinz, and Nielsen, Will honed his analytical expertise before transitioning to education. His love for math began during his physics studies at Middlebury College and deepened throughout his career in data analytics and finance.
Eager to hone his management skills, Will earned an MBA from Cornell University. He rekindled his love of mathematics during business school, which led him to pursue a Master’s in Mathematics from Villanova University. Now, he channels this knowledge into helping children build strong math foundations.
“I couldn’t think of a better way to impact the community than helping kids improve their math skills,” Will shared. At Mathnasium, his leadership ensures that each student receives a personalized learning plan based on a detailed assessment. This approach, combined with Mathnasium’s proven teaching methods, helps students catch up, excel, and build a lasting appreciation for math.
The center offers programs for students from kindergarten to calculus, supporting tutoring, test preparation, and enrichment. In just a short time, Will and his team have already helped over 30 students sharpen their math skills and are excited to help many more. Collaboration with parents, schools, HSAs, teachers, counselors, and the broader community is at the heart of Mathnasium’s mission, ensuring students get the support they need both inside and outside the classroom.
Experience how Mathnasium of Montgomeryville, led by Will, is making math engaging, rewarding, and transformative for local students.

We like to think we see the full picture. We rely on experience, instincts, and knowledge to make decisions. But what if the very things we don’t see—our blindspots—hold us back?
Blindspots exist in all of us. They shape how we lead, interact, and make choices. They affect how we see others and, more importantly, ourselves. The challenge is, by definition, we’re unaware of them. It takes intention, feedback, and sometimes, a hard look in the mirror to uncover them.
Owning our blindspots isn’t a weakness; it’s a strength. The best leaders, most effective teams, and most resilient businesses aren’t the ones who pretend they have it all figured out. They acknowledge there’s always more to learn.
A practical way to start uncovering blindspots is to ask for “clarity feedback” instead of general feedback. Instead of, “How am I doing?” try, “What’s one thing I do that may have a negative impact?” or “What could I adjust to be more effective?” The more specific the question, the more actionable the insight. When multiple people point to the same pattern, you’ve found a blindspot.
This is where Behavioral Essentials comes in. We help leaders, teams, and organizations identify unseen factors shaping performance, culture, and decision-making. Using data-driven behavioral insights, we make the invisible visible—so you can lead with clarity, communicate with impact, and build a workplace where potential isn’t just recognized but fully realized.
The road to being better—at business, leadership, and being human—starts with seeing what we’ve been missing. Are you ready to own your blindspots?
Visit Behavioral Essentials to learn how we can help you uncover what’s holding you back and turn it into a catalyst for success.
Business owners operating in the state of Pennsylvania have historically been required to file a report with the Department of State every 10 years. However, beginning in 2025, most domestic and foreign business associations will now be required to file an annual report. The deadline for filing a report for domestic and foreign corporations is June 30, 2025. Domestic and foreign limited liability companies will need to file their annual report by September 30, 2025. All other business associations, such as domestic and foreign partnerships will have until December 31, 2025 to file their report. The report can be filed online at file.dos.pa.gov.
The Department of State is mailing a notice of the filing requirement to businesses two months prior to the respective filing date. However, if the notice is not received, businesses are not relieved of their filing requirement. Failure to file could result in the dissolution, termination, or cancellation of the association’s registration.
A link containing the specifics of the annual filing requirement, including how to file and a detailed FAQ, can be found here. If you were not previously aware of this new annual filing requirement, we recommend that you reach out to your legal counsel to assist you with the process.
If you have any questions about this information or you’d like our help in coordinating with your counsel, please reach out to your Kreischer Miller Relationship Director.
