Impact of Giving

I am honored to share with you the 2022 Report of Giving that highlights the successes of Brookwood’s fundraising efforts.

I have been fortunate to see Brookwood through many different lenses As a student in the 1990’s - building boats for the Recess Regatta, working on Memory Maps, learning routines for our 8th Grade Play, "Will Rogers Follies;" as an alumna - fostering lifelong friendships made at Brookwood; as a parentwitnessing my children thrive in the classroom, on the stage, in themselves; and now, as an employee - cultivating community as Brookwood’s Director of the Brookwood Fund and Community Engagement

As I reflect on all that has changed within those 25+ years; the spectacular new spaces, cutting edge programming, and expanding curriculum, much remains the same. Brookwood’s core values, mission, traditions, and academic distinction are still very much at the forefront of a Brookwood experience. A true testament to the founding principles that have successfully carried us through the past 67 years. I am proud to be a part of such excellence.

Together, we make a difference! Brookwood School values philanthropy at all levels and emphasizes the importance of participation from our community. The Brookwood Fund

Annual giving serves as the cornerstone of Brookwood’s fundraising activities. The Brookwood Fund impacts every aspect of daily life at the school. Your support strengthens our academic program; your giving ensures that deserving students who would otherwise not be able to afford a Brookwood education can attend school here; and your philanthropy supports our amazing faculty and staff. Your gifts of support are the foundations for a successful Brookwood education, and we are so grateful to all who participate.

Leadership Giving at Brookwood

Leadership Giving at Brookwood offers the opportunity to demonstrate its deep appreciation to those parents, employees, alumni, grandparents, and other friends providing support at leadership levels. Membership in the leadership giving society is based on a donor’s or family’s total giving to Brookwood between July 1 and June 30 for either unrestricted or restricted purposes, events or fundraising initiatives, including both personal gifts and corporate matching gifts. We sincerely thank our leadership donors for leading the charge.

Community in Action

On Saturday, May 14, 2022 Brookwood held its first-ever Block Party Not only did we raise over $100,000 in support of the school's fundraising initiatives, including support of special projects and the day-to-day programming at Brookwood, we also brought our community back together for the first time in over two years. Together we enjoyed good food, fun activities, fantastic music, and the warmth of each other's company. It felt good to reconvene joyfully celebrating Brookwood. Thank you to our generous donors, event sponsors, guests and friends who made this evening a tremendous success! Dear Parents Association Volunteers,

On behalf of the Brookwood Parents’ Association, I’d like to recognize your service last year and to say a heartfelt THANK YOU. Your contributions to Brookwood’s sense of community is not only important, but greatly appreciated by the Parents’ Association, Brookwood’s faculty and staff, leadership team, and fellow parents. Slowly being able to return back on campus it is apparent how lucky we are to have a dedicated core group of individuals that are willing to assume these vital community roles, now more than ever

Class Connectors, you planned fun and engaging class socials, while faced with the complications of pandemic restrictions. Your resourcefulness and commitment created personal connections, which is one of the beacons that make Brookwood unique.

Committee Chairs, co-chairs and volunteers, we are so grateful for your many contributions as we carried out time honored Brookwood activities like faculty and staff appreciation events, Movie Night, Cultural Enrichment performances, the annual Book Fair and the Spring Fundraiser, to name a few. Additionally, some of you assisted us in choosing recipients for the Faculty Grants Program, one of the PA’s key initiatives. These programs and events could not have been as successful without your talents and gift of time or the financial contributions of our supporters
