n 2031, Brookwood School will celebrate its 75th anniversary.

Founded in 1956 by a group of dedicated families seeking a new approach to elementary education on the North Shore of Massachusetts, the school has grown while remaining nestled on a coastal campus surrounded by protected woodlands. To support this approach, we will: Upgrade indoor and outdoor athletics facilities to support a range of activities unique to Brookwood in our local market.

Develop state-of-the-art facilities for Changemaking, Slöyd (woodworking), robotics, and engineering, enabling collaboration, exploration, and innovation for multi-disciplinary problem-solving.

Expand dedicated performing arts spaces to enhance public performance opportunities, fostering confidence and risk-taking.

Reimagine indoor and outdoor spaces, including campus trails, to promote creative expression, fitness, and environmental stewardship while adhering to sustainable building practices.

Strengthening Our Base Brookwood’s Board of Trustees and leadership recognize the critical role of attracting and retaining top educators. We will: Design a competitive compensation and benefits package that positions Brookwood among the top-performing schools, ensuring we attract and retain exceptional educators.

Create endowed positions to support innovative teaching practices on a sustaining basis.

Align budgetary planning with our long-term commitment to employee investment, ensuring that our financial decisions reflect our dedication to faculty support and development.

More of a Good Thing To better support Brookwood families and extend learning opportunities, we will: Expand summer, holiday, and weekend programs featuring academic enrichment, service-learning, and student travel.

Deepen partnerships with local, national, and global organizations to bring unique learning experiences to students.

Develop specialized summer programs in literacy, numeracy, and outdoor education, ensuring that student growth is aligned with longitudinal success.
