Welcome to the Brock Recreation Guide for Spring and Summer 2024. This guide welcomes you to enjoy Brock Township and its many recreational activities during two great seasons in our Township.
Regardless of your goals, needs, or wants it is very likely that Brock has something for you., and whether you are a resident of Brock or just visiting us, you will find many activities and events to enjoy. Our communities have a wide assortment of activities that can keep you busy and coming back for more. Whether it’s a casual stroll along our trails or shorelines, fishing off the pier, taking part in fitness activities, enjoying events and celebrations, or just sitting down to enjoy our many parks it’s all here for you in Brock Township.
I want to thank the many non-profit organizations and their volunteers for making so many of the activities in this guide possible These organizations and the hard-working volunteers within them are integral partners with the Township of Brock in making sure that we are a destination for enjoyment by residents and visitors alike.

In addition to these qualifications, all staff are required to attend pre-camp training sessions on child safety and programming.
We strive to ensure the successful and safe participation of all campers in our camps. If your child has extra support needs or a health condition you MUST inform us upon registration. If your child requires 1:1 support, you must contact the Camp Coordinator PRIOR to registration at camp@brock.ca. All 1:1 requests require an interview with the Camp Coordinator to ensure we are able to meet the needs of your camper. Families requiring 1:1 assistance can request support for up to two weeks of camp.
Summer Day Camp Registration opens on Monday, April 1 at 10:00am. It is highly recommended to create an online account in advance for ease of registration on the opening date.

2. Search for Programs using the "Programs" button at the top of the screen, and search using the category "Holiday & School Breaks"

3. Follow the prompts to complete registration and payment
Camp availability can be checked online through the Township website. Availability can only be guaranteed at time of processing the registration. The Township will not “hold” spots for individuals. Registration will be accepted online only through our registration software. Confirmation of registration will be emailed upon completion.
If a program is full, we encourage you to add your child(ren) to the waitlist. If a spot becomes available you will receive an email indicating that you have 48 hours to register. If you do not register within 48 hours, the spot will become available to the next person in line. We encourage utilizing the waitlist as additional spots may become available if there is demand.
One week advance notice is required to cancel enrollment/request a refund. Requests can be emailed to camp@brock.ca. Cancellations will be subject to a $20 service fee.
The Township of Brock reserves the right to cancel or alter any programs, times, costs or locations outlined in this brochure without notice as required, due to low enrollment, change of policy or availability of facilities or instructors. The service fee will not be charged if we cancel one of the day camp programs.

Mini mites camp is for kids aged 4-6 who are ready to engage in play via a variety of age appropriate activities such as crafts, games, sports, and spirit days.
VARIETY CAMP (Ages 7-12)
Join us for an action-packed week of games and activities geared towards campers ages 7-12. Activities will include indoor and outdoor play, DIY craft projects, science experiments and more!
SPORTS CAMP (Ages 7-12)
Sports camp strictly dedicated our older campers to participate in all the fun and enjoyment of sports. Campers will learn and improve their abilities and have fun while participating in a range of games and sports such as basketball, soccer, baseball, and more! This camp is for participants who have an interest in sports and want to show their skills. This camp emphasizes fitness and involvement while also encouraging teamwork, and skill development.
ART CAMP (Ages 7-12)
Challenge your creativity and inner artist. Campers will participate in hands-on art projects, crafts, and activities. Campers will explore their creative side, test their skills and create masterpieces in a variety of mediums. Projects may include pain, modelling clay, mosaics, fabrics, sketching, collaging and more!
OUTDOOR EXPLORERS (Ages 7-12)
Geared for children who love to be outdoors and not afraid to get dirty. Campers will spend a majority of their time outside exploring through nature discovery, forest activities, games, nature crafts and survivor skills
MINIEXPLORERS(Ages4-6)

Beaverton Harbour Park
Situated on the shores of Lake Simcoe, the park has lots to offer, including a beach and marina. Free daytime parking, washrooms, playground with accessible playground features, splash pad, picnic area, boat launch, Kayak dock, walkout pier and restaurant. Located at 1 Harbour Park Crescent in Beaverton.
Beaverton Ball Park
Home of the Beaverton Fall Fair and a variety of other community events, this park also includes baseball diamonds that are available for public use. Located at 176 Main Street in Beaverton next to the Foster Hewitt Memorial Community Centre.
Thorah Centennial Park
Located at B32000 Shoreline Road, in Beaverton. The park includes a large picnic area, sandy beach, playground and parking. This is a great place to enjoy time with family on a warm day.
Beaverton King Street Park
This park has a playground, recreational baseball diamond and an outdoor tennis court. Located 297 King Street in Beaverton.
Mill Gateway Park
This is a picturesque park with a nature trail that winds along the Beaver River. Basketball court, beach volleyball court, playground and skate park. Located at 204 Simcoe Street, Beaverton.
Beaverton Walking Trail
The Beaverton Walking Trail is a 900 ft. trail that begins at the Beaverton fairgrounds located at 176 Main St. The trail links to the Beaverton Harbour. This is a paved trail and is accessible for wheelchairs and strollers.
Beaver River Wetland Conservation Area and Trail
Cannington MacLeod Park
This park includes a skate park, cenotaph, playground, picnic area with shelter, tennis court and a 2.5 km nature trail that looks through Cannington's MacLeod Park and runs along the Beaver River. The Cannington Claire Hardy Baseball Fields are located at 105 Elliot Street in Cannington
Manilla Park
This park has family fun amenities like a playground, picnic tables and benches, horseshoe pit and baseball diamond. Located at C2370 Brock Street, Manilla.
Port Bolster Park and Brock Soccer Park
This park offers a boat launch, picnic area, playground and soccer fields. Located at B23955 Thorah Park Blvd., in Pefferlaw.
Sunderland Park & Trail
This park is home to a variety of community events, including the Sunderland Fall Fair and Maple Syrup Festival. Baseball diamonds, basketball court, picnic area with shelter, playground skateboard park, tennis courts, beach volleyball courts and the Sunderland Lions walking trail. Located at 18 Church Street in Sunderland.
Lagoon Reserve Walk
The Lagoon Reserve Walk is a 2 km trail that loops around the Beaverton fairgrounds and continues south. This is an easy trail and is a great place to walk your dog. You can access the trail at Beaverton Harbour.
Trans Canada Trail
The Trans Canada Trail stretches across 28,000 km from the Atlantic to the Pacific to the Arctic Oceans. It is the world’s longest network of trails, and a unique legacy for Canadians to enjoy. Explore the Trans Canada Trail as it winds through the Township of Brock.
