Overview My least optimistic impression of “Super Thinking” is that models can reinforce the worst in humanity, and a little bit of knowledge can be disastrous.

My “most respectful interpretation” is that knowing models (and not just knowing the name of models) can help one defend against the worst uses and abuses of our thoughts, emotions and behaviours - mental models if you will.

Additionally, knowing these mental models well can be useful for constructive decision making and relationships; as well as helping us detect when others are using models against our better interests. I would suggest expanding knowledge beyond the models in “Super Thinking” too.

Not following the scientiďŹ c method and not acting in a way that will bring others to do what you need or want even though you followed the fads and tech advancements.
