Many talk of information as its’ and the organization's most valuable asset yet behave differently. There needs to be strategic alignment between what is said and understood about data, information and knowledge and how actions and decisions are being made to demonstrate its value and importance to the culture and bottom line.

Much like how bitcoin becomes a thing and valued at a certain rate based on opinion, so to seemingly - does information and its’ value. Not all bargain with a sense of fairness, realistic intentions, or in the context of law or human decency. If dealing with less than respectable negotiations, much can be devalued and lose its value. Mud or glitter may just give the illusion of depth, in other words.

Pressure to exploit informations’ value while keeping in mind both the return on investment and the risk of incarceration factors. Stop giving it away unless I want to take it and profit? 3rd party risks are huge! Not likely to be easy to keep taking lemons and make lemonade without considering what being caged in a cell or fined into bankruptcy might actually look and feel like from under a bus.
