We are delighted to welcome SEIB and Equetech as the title sponsors of this event . .

A huge thank you to our wonderful team of volunteers to whom we are so grateful. Thank you to all of you who have been nominated as a designated team volunteer for the event we really couldn’t run these championships without your help. Please take some time to visit our selection of trade stands located in the pavilion and take your horse to the BHS Weighbridge for advice on Horse Care and Welfare. We are excited to have ‘RoboCob’ with us this weekend where you can try side saddle or maybe your family could try riding, slots will be available to book in the run up to the championship.

BRC Rules and Notices

Official Rules

All competitions will be run in accordance with the appropriate British Riding Clubs Rules. Every competitor or team manager should be in possession of a current set of BRC rules for the competition in which he/she is entered. The onus is on the competitor to know the rules and abide by them. In the case of a dispute, the matter should be referred to the Jury of Appeal through the Show Secretary in writing and accompanied by a £20.00 deposit. Complaints can be lodged up to 30 minutes after the final results of each competition have been posted.

Timetable of Events

Classes are scheduled to start and finish at the following times. All times are approximate and subject to change.

Arriving at the venue

Let the parking team know if you are stabling and/or have hook up and they will do their best to park you near your stable block.

Go to declarations (see map) with your passport for flu vac check, here you will find the Stable Manager where you can collect your stable number and purchase shavings. This will be on the left when entering the cabin.

Go to the right of the cabin for the Secretary for any competition queries and for volunteer and judge check-in.

. Exercise arrangements on Thursday are in warm-up only. This will be moved to the indoor in the event of wet weather. Competitor numbers must be worn.

After 1900 there will be no officials or paramedics available on site so will be at your own risk, if an incident occurs, please report to the secretary the next day. Friday and Saturday will be after competition finishes in the warm-up only.

Food & Drink

Evening meals will be available from approx. 1800 in the bar. Please note there will not be no food/drink outlets open on Thursday until the evening, so bring your own refreshments.

The outdoor café will be open during the day from approx. 0730.

Stabling and Hook Up

The car parkers will do their best to park you close to your stable block, but due to numbers this may not always be possible. The car parking team will have a list of which block you have been allocated to, then you will be able to collect your stable number from the stable manager, located in the declarations area.

If you have booked hook up, please let the parking team know upon arrival. Ensure that you have made payment via the website and sent the hook up form. Hook up may be available for purchase on the day (dependent on availability and can be done through the stable manager).

If you are going to be arriving to your stabling after 1900 please contact the stable manager by phone or text on 07783 888266 before 1830 who will be able to give you your stable number, you must then have your flu vaccination checked and declare the following morning.

Stables and hook up will be available from 1400 on Thursday and from 1730 on Friday and Saturday. Those stabled or hooked up Thursday and Friday night MUST have vacated by 1730 the following day even if you have not finished competing.

Arena UK now operates a clear bed policy. Stables must be completely emptied of all bedding and forage when you leave.

Bedding

Softchip Plus shavings is available at £12 per bale available through the stable manager when declaring and will be delivered directly to your stable. Small Haylage is Baillie Haylage priced at £12 also to be purchased through the stable manager and will be delivered to your stable. You can bring your own shavings and hay.

Straw is NOT permitted on site.

Health & Safety Policy Statement:

General

The Organiser and the Official Steward, have overall responsibility for health and safety and have appointed a Health and Safety Adviser to ensure that all the appropriate health and safety legislation is met.

Officials

Stewards, Judges and Officials are briefed to conduct themselves so that they do not put themselves or anyoneelse at risk and to maintain control of the area around their location. The Organiser and Health & Safety Adviser have also carried out risk assessments and imposed controls that form part of that briefing.

Spectators

All reasonable and practical steps have been taken to ensure the health, safety and welfare of those attending the event.

Competitors

Competitors are required to conduct themselves and retain control of their horses so that they do not put themselves or anyone else at risk.

Contractors

Contractors working at the event are required to observe best working practices, complying with all Healthand Safety legislation relevant to their business and must take all reasonable and practical steps to safeguard the health and safety of their employees and any other person attending the event.

Exhibitors (Trade Stands)

Exhibitors are responsible for the safety of their own stands and the risks that they may pose to employees and any other persons within the allocated space or immediate surrounding areas.

Hats

Protective Headwear must be worn at all times by anyone riding anywhere at a BRC event. Harnesses must be correctly adjusted and fastened. At all BRC Championships hats must show a visible hot pink BRC, BE or PC ‘hat tag’. If it does not have a tag, please go to the secretary or declaration area for your hat to be checked. ‘Protective Headwear’ constitutes a hat which meets one of the following standards. Failure to do so will incur elimination.

Competitors are strongly advised to check their hats regularly and to replace them if damaged or following a fall.

Dogs

Dogs must be kept under control and must be kept on a lead at all times on all parts of the showground with an ID tag displaying a contact number. Please clean up after your dog. Dogs are not to be left in vehicles in warm weather.

Emergencies

Emergency services must have access to all parts of the event site at all times and the designated emergency access routes must not be obstructed.

The emergency services at this event include Paramedics and First Aiders. Emergency first aid can be contacted through any Steward, Judge or Official - most quickly through those with a radio, during competition hours.

Accidents involving horses and competitors should be reported to the Secretary or Official Steward to call for the appropriate emergency services.

Emergencies not connected with the competition, may be dealt with by the emergency services on the site but outside emergency services e.g. the Fire Service may also be needed.

Horses can easily be frightened and can be dangerous. Members of the public are requested to keep clear of horse areas/lanes and to avoid behavior which might alarm horses.

Disclaimer of Liability

Save for death or personal injury caused by the negligence of the organisers, the BHS and BRC do not accept any liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury or illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, land or any other person or property whatsoever.

Official Photography/Filming

Please be advised that filming and/or photography will be taking place at Arena UK -during the BRC SEIB Winter Dressage and Quadrille and Equetech Dressage to Music championships 2025– this could be in and around the arenas, seating areas and lorry park during competition hours

If you do not wish to appear in any images captured please inform the secretary so that we can take appropriate steps to ensure you are not included

The photographs/film could potentially be included in BRC publications or in BRC promotional materials in the future and may also be published on the BRC section of the BHS website. They could also be passed onto the sponsor of the event and the press

Code of Conduct for Competitors, Visitors and Spectators

We aim to ensure all visitors are treated equally and fairly and have the same opportunities to enjoy their time here at the BRC Championships.

The following conduct will not be tolerated at any time and a breach of these rules will result in you being asked to leave the site immediately and/or the relevant authority or body notified.

o Acts/threats of violence towards any other person or animal.

o Discrimination of any kind.

o Use of foul or abusive language of any kind towards anyone.

o Under-age possession/consumption of alcohol.

o Possession of illegal and/or performance enhancing drugs.

o Bullying including cyber bullying.

o Being alone with an under-age minor and/or vulnerable adult without the presence of their parent/guardian or carer.

o Theft of any item from the showground.

If you are a witness/victim of any of the above behavior while at this Championship, please report this to theSecretary or site security staff on the showground, as soon as possible. All reports will be treated in the strictest of confidence.

All competitors will receive a commentative stable plaque for attending the Championships The Equi-Plaques stand in the pavilion will also provide the option to purchase a personalised version to celebrate your achievement Please visit Susie at the Equi-Plaques stand to discuss your requirements.

Come and have a session on Robo the Cob You can even have a go at side saddle. These sessions will run for 15 minutes. Robo cob will be using a dressage saddle, GP saddle and side saddle across the weekend so make sure you check the saddle timetable when booking your tickets.
