INDOOR SOCCER IS A BALL FOR KIDS It’s not quite the World Cup, but the round ball game is great fun for the kids. It may lack a little of the intensity of the Women’s World Cup final, with thousands of screaming fans whipped into a frenzy, but nevertheless Bridgetown’s kids have been having a great time kicking a soccer ball each Friday night down at the Leisure Centre. The rules may be a bit loose and arbitrary, with a referee nowhere in sight to blow the whistle, and one or two handballs going unnoticed, but the kids keep track of the score nonetheless. The action was fast and furious for the nine youngters who turned out on the 25th of August. The parents are there to watch proceedings and the consensus is that it’s a pity that more kids don’t turn up for an evening that’s fun for all.
