Amanda & Kevin Kevin and I live in Sarnia with our two beautiful girls: Alayna (age 8) & Kloe (age 2). We will finally be getting married August 27th, 2016 after being together for almost seven years. Let me tell you our engagement story: Kevin and I had been dating for about two years when we decided to move in together. We spent the last night at my apartment and struggled to get some sleep because we were up late finishing packing, and I could tell Kevin was a little off, but he assured me everything was fine.

Becky & Mark On April 4, 2015 we went on a family vacation to Cuba while I was five months pregnant with our baby girl, Stella, and our two munchkins, Sicily and Nash, along with some of my family, his family, and a few friends. We went for a moonlit walk on the beach with everyone and he asked his parents to take a picture of us and the kids.

As his mom took the picture I looked over and he was down on one knee!!! Of course I said YES!! This was very romantic and I loved how he included the kids.

Moving day was a little stressful, but once we moved the last box into the townhouse Kevin said we needed to take a break, and we sat in the living room. He handed me what he called a housewarming gift, and I was stunned when I opened it to reveal a blooming rose in a hand decorated vase with a note that said “Will you marry me?” He quickly got down on one knee and presented me the ring in front of our family and friends.

Obviously I said yes! It’s been a long road since, but we’ve welcomed our youngest daughter, and purchased our home where we are excited to exchange vows in our own backyard! air mattress and pump. We couldn't fix it and we were dreading sleeping on the ground. Feeling desperate for a comfortable sleep, Dan went into the forest to chop down some pine branches. He came back with them and we laid them down in the tent, and put our sad deflated air mattress on top. I couldn't stop giggling looking at these limp branches and smelling nothing but pine. Then I realized I had forgotten our winter bedding to keep warm so we had to snuggle close all night.

We lived in Alberta for a bit and the summer before we moved back home to Sarnia, we had a camping trip up in Jasper, AB national park.

The trip started out normally and all was going well until we realized I had forgotten to pack the proper

The next day, Dan wanted to climb up a huge mountain before we left.

He promised the view would be gorgeous. When we finally got to the top the view of the canyon and river was breathtaking. There were butterflies, wild flowers, and the sun was shining. Dan got a lady to take our picture, when I went to grab his hand for the picture (we were on the edge of a cliff) he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him.

You could hear my happy cry echoing over the mountain. I hugged him and afterwards it turned out that this woman had recorded the whole thing on video! The ring had belonged to his Nana, who I was very close with before she passed away. That started a whole new set of tears.

I can't wait to spend my life with my wonderful, thoughtful man. For the rest of my days I will always think of his beautiful proposal when I smelled like pine.

After a little while everyone left me home alone so I could have a nap. I was very tired from all of the excitement. When I woke up mommy and daddy were back! Mommy was wearing a beautiful white dress just like me! I was so excited to see my humans that my tail wouldn't stop wagging! They were with more of their friends and again we got lots of picture taken.

It wasn't long before mommy and daddy left again. I'm not sure where they went this time, but they were gone for a really long time. I stayed at grandma and grandpa’s and some other people I had never met. They were really nice and gave me lots of attention so it was OK. Everyone kept talking about something called a "wedding".

They told me my parents were married now (whatever that means). They said the ceremony was beautiful and that my mommy and daddy looked so happy! They were all looking forward to going back to see mommy and daddy and eat food, drink and dance. I wasn't allowed to go for some reason so I looked after the house.

After they all left me AGAIN... I had another long nap. The next morning when I woke up mommy and daddy showed up. I said goodbye to all of my new friends and got one last cuddle and pat from all of them before I FINALLY got to go home. I missed my mommy and daddy so much. They gave me so many cuddles and treats - that made me feel very happy! I loved hearing all about what mommy and daddy did all day, even though I didn't understand all of it.

Today everyone got up early and seemed very excited about something. Some of daddy's friends came over and they all got really dressed up! Daddy looked so handsome! That's when daddy put my pretty white dress on me. I ran around the house showing off my pretty dress, getting my head patted and everyone kept saying "you are so cute!" (I think being cute is a good thing?), We had lots of pictures taken before even more people showed up for an early lunch and little party in grandma's backyard. I was so excited because I love people so much and they always all pet me and give me cuddles!
