Does the doctor I select to treat my injuries after an accident matter?
3. The ability to take the time to go to court;
4. The ability to properly accept the appropriate first party insurance, if available, or otherwise be willing wait for your case to resolve; and
5. The ability to make referrals to the appropriate medical experts.
BY BRIAN D. GURALNICK, ESQUIRE
The answer to the above titled question is a definite YES! We are truly blessed in Florida to have some amazing medical providers. But, like any other profession, there are good providers and there are bad providers. It is essential that in addition to your medical provider being competent, compassionate, and skilled, it is equally important that your doctor understands the injury law process.
Even if you have a long-standing relationship with a wellintended doctor, if he or she does not have all of the following abilities, they could unknowingly make it difficult for you to make a proper recovery. And, once you see a doctor, he or she automatically becomes a witness in your case and they cannot be removed just because you do not like their opinion. These important items are:
1. The ability to properly document your injuries;
2. The ability to causally relating your injuries to your accident;
Only a select few medical providers meet all of the above criteria. In fact, many medical providers are on the payroll of some of the largest motor vehicle and liability insurance companies, such as Allstate, State Farm, Progressive, and GEICO. Some of these doctors are EACH paid millions of dollars a year to perform examinations of injured accident victims, wherein almost 100% of the time they improperly deny any existence of an injury, deny that the injury was related to the accident, minimize the need for medical treatment, or minimize the impact these injuries have on an injured accident victim’s life.
An experienced injury lawyer should know which medical providers are appropriate for your accident related injuries. So as soon as have been injured in an accident, please “Call Me Personally” so I can help make sure you obtain the best recovery.

QBrian, I was in a car crash caused by a working Uber driver, can you help me?
A
Yes. However, currently the amount of available insurance for a ride share driver, like Uber or Lyft, depends on several factors, including whether or not the ride share app was on and whether they had accepted a ride from a customer. Call me personally at 561-616-9977 to discuss.
