Ellie & Her Daisy of a Day

Written & Illustrated

For Eleanor “Ellie” Grace Campbell

We look forward to meeting you!

With hearts full of love From family and friends

day was so fun! It started with sun

The

So many flowers springing

about

So, so many… Too many to count

Butterflies so delicate So very light

Where could they go?

Would they fly high?

Would they fly low?

Rain splashed and splattered down from the sky

Daisies didn’t mind

But Ellie wondered why

Tulips sprouting here and about

A daisy’s best friend Of that not a doubt

Indian paint brushes

Red as a wagon

Or breath of a dragon

A color not a bit lazy

For standing tall

Next to a daisy

Bees busy buzzing

One flower to the next

Surprised little Ellie

All that work She didn’t expect

Laughing and skipping with cute little bunnies

They hopped and ducked

They were running amok!

Peeking through

flowers

A fawn took a look

What was Ellie doing In this colorful nook?

Daisies were everywhere Popping up perky With little a care

Sometimes in places That seemed a bit rare

Ellie danced along With joy and delight

So much to explore In yellow and white!

As the sun set on Ellie’s day She fell asleep

Dreaming sweet dreams Of daisies to keep

Until tomorrow…
