Auftragswerk des Internationalen Musikwettbewerbs der ARD 2022 Composition for the ARD International Music Competition 2022

Die Grundlage für jedes Stück in Négy tárgy ist ein pianistisches „Objet trouvé“, das entweder eine besondere Klaviertextur, eine bestimmte Spieltechnik oder eine instrumentenspezifische Klangmöglichkeit sein kann. Um dieses „Objekt“ herum entsteht ein kleiner, homogener musikalischer Mikrokosmos.

Die Stücke verlangen vom Interpreten nicht nur eine hochentwickelte Manualität und Lesefähigkeit, sondern auch einen kreativen, überzeugend eigenständigen Umgang mit Klangfarbe, Zeit und verschiedenen Gesten, insbesondere beim Spielen der nicht immer komfortablen Aktionen im Inneren des Klaviers. Darüber hinaus ist eine „logistische“ Fähigkeit erforderlich, um all diese Techniken im Einklang mit den bautechnischen Anforderungen des vorhandenen Instruments souverän zu meistern.

Négy tárgy wurde als Pflichtstück für den ARDMusikwettbewerb 2022 komponiert.

The basis for each piece in Négy tárgy is a pianistic “objet trouvé”, which can either be a particular piano texture, a certain playing technique or an instrument-specific sound possibility. A small, homogeneous musical microcosm is generated around this object.

The pieces demand from the performer not only a highly-developed hands-on approach and reading ability, but also a creative, convincing and individual approach with regard to timbre, time and various gestures, especially when playing the not always comfortable actions inside the piano. Further, a “logistical” ability to master all these techniques confidently in harmony with the constructional requirements of the existing instrument is necessary.

Négy tárgy was composed as a set work for the ARD Music Competition 2022.

weiches Arpeggio mit einer Fingerkuppe über die Saiten / so arpeggio with one ngertip across the strings

den ganzen arpeggierten Saitenbereich mit einer Hand äche plötzlich abdämpfen / mute the plucked string area with the palm of one hand suddenly

Zwei Flankensaiten mit Fingernägeln anzupfen. Mittleren Ton spielen. Alle drei Töne sind etwa gleich laut. / Pluck two outer strings with the ngernails. Play center note. Ensure the volume of the three notes is about the same.

Arpeggi über die Saiten mit Fingernägeln oder Plektren. Der Arpeggioklang soll kernig und wenig geräuschha sein. / Arpeggios on the strings with ngernails or plectrums. e arpeggio sound should be sonorous and not too noisy.

**Arpeggien über die Saiten: Die notierten Tonhöhenbereiche sind bei dieser Technik im ganzen Stück, generell als approximativ zu betrachten und können, je nach Saitenanordnung des Flügelmodells – bei Beachtung des musikalischen Kontextes – leicht angepasst werden. / **Arpeggios across the strings: e notated ranges of the arpeggios throughout the whole piece are generally to be considered approximative and may be slightly adjusted, according to the string structure of the piano model and in respecting the musical context.
