Quick Reference State and Local Boards Blue Ridge Community College Board (2013-2015) The BRCC College Board acts in an advisory capacity to the State Board for Community Colleges and is responsible for assuring that the community college is responsive to the needs within its service region.

State Board for Community Colleges (2014-2015)* The State Board for Community Colleges is the state agency responsible for the establishment, control, administration, and supervision of all community colleges in the Commonwealth of Virginia. It is the governing board for the Virginia Community College System and Blue Ridge Community College.
