Catherine Coombs is living her own personal dream: using her skills and experience as a photographer to help others. She is not just about reflecting an image through a lens however. For Catherine, it is all about using photography to allow others to see the beauty in themselves or the very best in what they do – an experience that often results in tears of joy.

Photography was probably always where this 40-year-old was fated to end up. Handed a Kodak 110mm film camera as a small child to take a photo of her mum – and never handing it back!

- Catherine pursued this passion through high school. Life took a few twists and turns before she was finally able to commit to photography as a career, and now as a businesswoman with her own studio, Catherine feels her experiences make her better at her craft.

Brand Focus provides tailor-made editorial for each client. Not only do the photographs reflect who they are and what they represent, but stories about them by a highly regarded journalist are also presented alongside. In some cases, this will be the first editorial piece in which the entrepreneur has ever been profiled, but Catherine ensures the experience is positive, impactful, and generates maximum personal and professional credibility.

wo years ago, Kylie Ann was living the life that society deems to be “right”.

She had the great job and the house and the income – but she was unfulfilled, and she had the sense that there had to be something more.

What Kylie also had was the courage to take a risk, follow a dream and become her own boss and live the life she wanted.

Hence Create Your Lifestyle was born. And now Kylie Ann and her partner Brad are empowering others in various countries across the world to transform their own lives both financially and personally.

“When we made the decision to go into business for ourselves, we looked for something that would give us the flexibility to work when and where we wanted,” Kylie Ann says.

“It needed to share our values of freedom, growth, community and inner happiness, while still giving us the income we wanted.

“Once I found this organisation, it just felt right. It clicked, and it seemed like everything I had dreamed of throughout my life was possible.”

Create Your Lifestyle is an online personal development and leadership business and the company they partner with provides systems, processes, information and support to people wanting to be their own boss.

Clients come from all backgrounds and situations, but share the common goal of wanting to take full responsibility for their work and the rewards of business ownership that come with that.

“We look for men and women who have big dreams

and people who are willing to put in the work to get the results they desire to create – be that in their professional or personal life,” Kylie Ann says.

“One of the things we look for are people who are hungry for change and have a genuine desire to earn an above average income to live their ideal life.”

The business markets a range of award-winning digital products and live seminars online, to assist people to understand their own thinking.

“It’s our “stinking thinking” that ultimately holds us back from creating the results we want in our lives. Unfortunately most of these thoughts are unconscious and have been taken on as our own throughout childhood and our interactions with others. In order to change the results we create in our lives we must first change our beliefs and

in order to change our beliefs, we must first become aware of them. This is what our products do for people.” Kylie Ann says.

A laptop and phone are the tools of the trade for Kylie Ann, and allows her not just to work closely with clients but coordinate marketing across various social media platforms.

“Our products are cutting edge and use concepts which are digital, accessible and are practical, to be put to use in everyday life,” Kylie Ann says.

“Business-wise, our compensation plan has high profits margins, full training and support with step by step training that those who have never even used a computer before can follow.

One question that Kylie Ann loves to ask people she’s considering to work with is “What kind of legacy do you want to leave behind?

Catherine Coombs, who runs the Captured by Catherine studio, offers personal branding packages for business people in the Cairns area.

Each package includes a three to five-hour photo shoot with 90-100 images, a 30-second promotional video, 10 social media header images and two stories in the Brand Focus magazine about them and their business.

Fireman. Nurse. Teacher. Doctor.

These are the careers many young children declare when asked – and in one way, Kylie Ann was no different.

This means she is able to travel to far-flung places while still kicking goals with her clients who live around the globe.

“My teacher told me I was dreaming.

That I was unrealistic.”

She knew she wanted to be in a job where she could help people.

But in another way, the Year 7 student was very very different from her classmates.

“I told my teacher that I didn’t just want to help people, but I wanted to inspire them to achieve their dreams, live amazing lifestyles and see the world,” Kylie Ann, now aged 30, says.

“My teacher told me I was dreaming. That I was unrealistic.”

“But I knew even then that people could have everything they wanted in life, and that they could work in jobs that really lit them up.”

Kylie Ann has proven her young self correct with her business Create Your Lifestyle, where she is not just making her own dreams come true, but the dreams of others as well.

She (along with her partner Brad) runs the online personal development and leadership business and loves seeing the remarkable transformations in the lives of those with whom she works with.

“I have the chance to empower people to be their own gurus and take control of their lives, and to understand what they truly want in life. It’s a gift that keeps giving and that excites me, every single day,” Kylie Ann says.

“It is amazing to help someone get the clarity they need to take action, and it fills my heart with joy. My business is a vehicle for me to use my knowledge, passion and truths to help others find theirs.”

Achieving work/life balance is not difficult for Kylie Ann – her business allows her to work when she wants, from wherever in the world she is.

The bottom line, however, is all about community – forged by a group of people with a shared vision of personal freedom, regardless of age, gender, nationality, or dream.

“What we offer in Create Your Lifestyle is the opportunity to draw upon support from other people, all of whom have an interest in success and their own growth and development,” Kylie Ann says.

“We provide lots of guidance and assistance and information – because our clients’ success is our success - but I think what people love most is the energy and positive vibe of our community.

“This is exactly what I dreamed about when I was a child – it is everything I ever imagined a career could be, fun, exciting, and the freedom to live life as I please.”

When Kylie Ann looks for guidance for herself, she turns to her business mentors and some of the international leaders within the personal development industry; people such as Bob Proctor, Gabby Bernstein, Wayne Dyer, Oprah, or the late Jim Rohn.

She is able to use their wisdom and teachings to help others achieve their dreams.
