• Madhuvan is the first forest among the twelve sacred forests (vanas) of Brajmandal.
• The Braj Yatra begins from this holy site, located near Shri Mathura.
• Also known as Dhruv Teela, this place holds immense mythological and spiritual significance.

• In Satyuga, young Dhruv performed deep penance here on the instructions of Sage Narada, and was blessed with the divine vision of Lord Narayan.
• In Tretayuga, Shatrughna, the younger brother of Lord Ram, meditated in Madhuvan after defeating the demon Lavanaasur.
• In Dwaparyuga, Lord Krishna would often come to this forest with his cowherd friends for grazing cows (Gaucharan).

The original temple was built on a 30 feet high mud mound and had deteriorated over time.
Recognizing its importance, the Brij Vikas Trust initiated restoration work on the auspicious occasion of Shri Krishna Janmashtami in Samvat 2064.

• Three new sanctum sanctorums (Garbha Grihas) were established:
• Shri Giriraj Ji
• Shri Dhruv Narayan Bhagwan
• Shri Garud Govind Bhagwan
• An old Shiva temple was renovated, and a new Hanuman temple was also built.
• A kitchen and accommodation rooms were constructed for preparing and offering Bhog Prasad.

• A Jagmohan Hall was built in front of the temples to accommodate around 200 devotees.
• A retaining wall was constructed around the mound to protect the temples, supported by additional structural walls.
• Sweet water pipeline laid from 1 km away, with lush gardens developed around the temple complex.
• The temples were adorned with sky-high shikhars (spires).
• Stonework was used throughout to ensure durability and aesthetic beauty.

• Due to its elevated position, the temple interiors feel naturally airconditioned and serene.
