Hello - I’m Phil Sayles, Principal of Bournemouth and Poole College.

I’d like to take this opportunity to warmly welcome you to our fantastic college and to thank you for your interest in taking your next step in your education with us.

You might be wondering exactly what it is that makes studying at Bournemouth and Poole College such an exciting experience. The answer isn’t just our excellent facilities, our wide range of courses, our incredible team of tutors or our high expectations and results. In fact, it’s much more than that. What makes us exciting is you - our students.

Our students succeed. We help you to be the best you can be, at whatever you want to study. Whether you’re aspiring to get into a top university, land the career of your dreams or are looking to progress on to an apprenticeship, you’ll be studying with like-minded individuals, all with their own aspirations.

But what does this mean for you as you consider your next steps?

The most important piece of advice I can give you and your family is to consider not just the place you’ll be studying, but the course and where it could lead you. Many of our Level 3 courses attract UCAS points, meaning you can use them to get to university.

If you’re considering an apprenticeship, keep in mind that we are the largest

apprenticeship provider in the area, one of the very best in the country, and 96% of our successful apprentices stay with their employers for full-time employment or higher-level apprenticeships.

Our connections with employers of all sizes provides value to all students at Bournemouth and Poole College. Many of the courses we offer have been developed in conjunction with some of the biggest employers in the area, meaning students leave us with exactly the skills that employers are looking for.

Whatever your goal, Bournemouth and Poole College is the perfect college to get you there. I’d recommend attending one of our Open Events to really get a taste of life at Bournemouth and Poole College. You can book tickets at thecollege.co.uk/open.

I look forward to welcoming you to our amazing College.

T Levels offer a robust practical pathway for students interested in technical careers, combining academic study with real-world experience, giving you the head start towards your future.

A T Level Qualification is the equivalent of three A Levels, making it a strong option for those who want to pursue higher level apprenticeships, skilled employment and Higher Education. Universities and employers recognise T Levels as a rigorous qualification.

We are offering a wide range of T Levels in the following areas of study, providing multiple pathways for students to enter the workforce.

These are listed on relevant pages throughout this guide and on our website.
