At the home of and designed by Janice Jefferson Sectionals maximize a small space For maximum seating in a small space, the best solution is a custom sectional. This sectional added a large amount of seating in an otherwise under-utilized corner of the deck. The seat is deeper, making it perfect for afternoon naps and laying in the sun. The weatherproof Sunbrella fabric is designed for the outdoors – although it looks like an interior fabric, it can still withstand the elements.
Continue your interior design style out I am all luxury razzle-dazzle, inside and out, so I matched my exterior living space to the interior feel of my home with an overall style nodding to Hollywood glam. The banana leaf pattern and pink piping on the cushions reference the motif of the Beverly Hills Hotel and make me feel like I have poolside living even though I lack a pool. Lastly, don’t underestimate the power of the invisible design element of fragrance. When planting pots for this area, I chose jasmine to further enhance the luxurious experience.
Alfresco bathing After a long day of gardening, there’s nothing better than cooling off in an outdoor bathtub. Alfresco bathing is easier than it may seem – find a cool, old bathtub, create a secluded spot, plumb in hot and cold water and you’re ready to dive in. A side benefit is that you can plan with the plumber to have the used bath water drain directly into your garden beds... just make sure to hold the bubbles!
