Welcome Home, Techmen! Grads Honored byAlumni
Tech alumni turned out to warmly welcome the Class of 2023 into their proud ranks during the graduation ceremony. The alums representing many generations formed the traditional alumni reception line to congratulate each graduating senior as he approached the stage to accept his diploma.
Keynote Speaker is Alumnus Mario Diaz
The Tech was extremely proud to introduce the 2023 graduation keynote speaker, Mr. Mario Diaz. A 1986 graduate of the Tech’s Metallurgy program, Mr. Diaz is the 21st Under Secretary of the U.S. Army. In this role, he is the principal civilian senior advisor to the Secretary of the Army and Under Secretary of the Army. This makes him the highest ranking civilian working with the Army. During his inspiring talk to the graduates, he reminded them, “You may become many things, but you will always be a Techman...once a Techman, always a Techman!”
