Message from the Principal

Dear Bosco Tech Family

Is it just me or does it seem like this past school year has gone by more quickly than others? Here we are in the home stretch. Our seniors are graduating, and our underclassmen have finished final exams and are making plans for the summer, whether it be internships for juniors or the FSP for our incoming freshman class.

In this issue, dedicated to the graduating Class of 2023, you’ll see blessings, words of wisdom, and good wishes imparted to our seniors by our faculty and staff. I’d like to use the remainder of my letter to send a message of my own to, not just our seniors, but also to their younger Tech brothers:

 Seniors: May the positives you have gained, learned, experienced in the last four years stay with you always. Stay in touch with your Tech brothers, with whom you’ve shared a unique experience, with your instructors, who continue to pray for your well being and success, and with Bosco Tech and our vibrant Alumni Association that provides a network on contacts and opportunities.

 Juniors: As Ms. Gambill and, no doubt, your parents have encouraged you continue your college research and begin drafting your application essays and personal statements this summer. College application season comes early in the fall, and beginning the process ahead of schedule not only gives you a head start, but enables you more fully enjoy the many senior and school-wide activities planned for next school year. We’re all hear to help, to guide you, and to write letters of recommendation for you (just give your chosen instructors, advisors, and coaches ample time to effectively do so.) Oh, and be sure to create or update your resume or accomplishment list to help them make their letters more tailored.

 Sophomores: Congratulations on moving into the realm of ‘upperclassman.’ Use your knowledge wisely and remember to help the underclassmen, especially our incoming freshmen who will be learning the unique ways of the Tech (it sounds like a Jedi reference, doesn’t it?)

 Freshmen: Congratulations to the Class of 2026; you made it you are no longer freshmen! Have an enjoyable and relaxing summer, but start any summer assignments early!

 Incoming freshmen: Welcome to our newest students. May you find in Bosco Tech a home away from home and a brotherhood like no other! I say this from experience, as an alumnus, myself.

My prayer for each of our young people, and their families, in the coming months is that they rely on God’s promises of direction and hope. A favorite verse of mine is one that I pray for each of you: “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord. “Plans to prosper you and not to harm you; plans to give you a future and a hope.” The words of the prophet Jeremiah (Jer. 29:11) may have been intended for the ancient Israelites, but they are applicable and hope-filled for today’s believers, as well. Thank you to our Tech families for your tremendous ongoing support of our school community. Our campus are a thriving environment where young people flourish, due in no small part to your dedication and commitment. Have a great summer!

God bless the Classes of ‘23, 24, ‘25, 26, and ‘27

Jeff Krynen Principal (BT ‘81)
