Congratulations to the Class of 2023 (Continued)
from The Gear--June 2023
by Bosco Tech
Congrats, Class of 2023. Good luck out there, and remember..."How long do you intend to walk the Earth? Until God puts me where he wants me to be."
Mr. Jeff Gaba
Congratulations, gentlemen, on all you have accomplished. I pray that you seek and love God more with each passing day. There is nothing more important. Remember, as St. Paul has reminded us, do not conform yourselves to the spirit of this world, but rather to our Lord Jesus Christ. Place your trust in Him always!
—Mr. Miguel Ramirez
Congratulations, Class of 2023! You've been a pleasure to work with. I'm sure you are destined for good things!
—Mrs. Laura Bower
Audentes Fortuna Iuvat!
(Latin to English) Fortune favors the bold!
—Mr. Ian Tolod
Congratulations to the Class of 2023. You have "lived history" and survived it! Now you are called to "make history" as you go forward with your lives. You will succeed as you have succeeded.
And always remember that: "Gravity Still Works!" and..."Time is Long, History is Short, and you will always have a home at Bosco Tech!"
Gentlemen, you are dismissed.
—Mr. Richard M. Ronan
Seniors, two words: Lowell, Massachusetts. And 3.1415926535. So technically, an infinite number of words. But also, thank you for challenging me to become a better teacher and human being. I'll miss you.
—Mr. Erick Williams
Class of 2023—
May God bless you and direct your steps. May you always be surrounded by love. May you always know that you have a home at Bosco Tech.
Mrs. Karen Krynen
Stay healthy, stay safe, and stay awesome!
—Mr. Tom Yu (MSET ‘15)
To the Bosco Tech Class of 2023: You guys have been through a lot during your high school years that no other graduating class has had to go through. Missing a whole year here at the Tech and then parts of two other years (e.g. the Spring break that never ended AND the Black-and-Gold Cohorts). God bless you guys as your life journey moves forward! Thanks for the Chemistry memories. It was kind of fun. I hope you learned something! Peace…
—Mr. Medina (Amat, Class of '75)

Board of Trustees Seeking Parent Representative
As we prepare for the 2023-2024 school year, we are in need of a new Bosco Tech Board of Trustees Parent Representative.
Understanding the unique and invaluable perspective of parents, the Board of Trustees (BOT) provides one non-voting seat for a current parent. The individual will be responsible for representing the interests of Bosco Tech parents at board meetings and acting as a conduit to parents on vital board matters.

If you are interested in applying for the two-year term or would like to nominate someone, please review the criteria, nomination process, and application form (click here or pick up at the school’s front desk). All applications are due by June 30. Contact BOT Nominating Committee Chair Mr. Martin Hairston at mhairston@boscotech.edu with questions and to submit completed applications.
Advanced Placement Exams Update
This school year, 128 Tech students completed a total of 282 exams in 19 different subjects during the May exam period. Bosco Tech currently offers 17 Advanced Placement classes and several of our students elected to exercise the ‘exam only’ option by testing in subjects (Chinese Language & Culture and Physics
1) that they felt they would do well in, even though they are not current course offerings. Students in every grade level were included in the testing, the majority being juniors and seniors.
Test results will be released by the College Board in July. We are proud of our students for taking the AP challenge and are sure that they will do well. Each year, several of our students earn College Board recognition for their accomplishments.
We encourage every Techman to enroll in the Tech’s AP program in the subjects that most interest them. Questions about AP courses? Contact Mr. Richard M. Ronan, Tech Registrar at rronan@boscotech.edu.
