From
the author of The Herd comes a new book about the art of doing nothing
– an acute and timely guide to not acting
In our time of striving for ever faster efficiency, where productivity is hailed above everything else, we make so many decisions a day that the risk of decision fatigue is both overhanging and real.
We lift up those who can work, react, fight and, most of all, never give up as true heroes, while the losers of the world are those either too afraid or reluctant to make a decision and just act.
A large study from Harvard University in 2014 shows that if people are sat down in a room with nothing to do for between six to fifteen minutes, a majority would rather give themselves an electric shock than do nothing.
Why is it so difficult for us to be still with our own thoughts? And why is it so important that we learn this skill?
With examples ranging from antiquity to Coca-Cola’s failed marketing strategies, we learn about the art of doing nothing.
Johan Anderberg takes us through the history of inaction, from Homer to Warren Buffett, through Buddhism, stoicism, among the romans and today’s thinkers about the values and results of not acting, doing nothing, and even effectually giving up.
Just Don't is as perfect for the readers of Daniel Kahneman, Malcolm Gladwell or Michael Lewis, as it is for the first time non-fiction reader, and Anderberg has found an accessible and enthusiastic style which makes this book endlessly quotable, readable and fun.
Johan Anderberg (b. 1980), is a journalist and author who has worked for Fokus, Expressen, and Sydsvenskan, and has experience from the Wall Street Journal and Fortune Magazine in New York. In 2021, he published The Herd, centred around Sweden’s handling of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Astrid Lindäng has always done the right thing—as an employee, as a wife and mother, and a standup citizen. Yet one day, she finds herself in court, sentenced to a large fine and anger management therapy.
In therapy, she starts telling the whole story, seeking answers to how so many things could go wrong so fast. Recently, she got divorced. Her husband unexpectedly packed his bags and left her for another woman. He didn’t even have the decency to pick someone younger!
But wait, wasn’t it when she got hit by lightning – actual lightning – that she decided life is just too damn short? For a while, she was high on life. Sure, her adult kids were calling her erratic for buying a leopard-printed coat and grabbing life by the balls, and yes, she might have gotten fired, but so what?
For a while, things seemed to be going better than ever for Astrid. Until she got tempted to get even… Through the therapy sessions and Astrid’s self-examination, this thrillingly unexpected and brilliantly funny story unfolds piece by piece.
Maria Adolfsson’s ‘Doggerland’ series has previously been published in 20 countries. With this change of genre, Maria proves that she fully masters the skill of keeping the reader in equal measure of suspense in an upmarket literary novel about an ordinary woman who stops being so damn compliant. There is a Meg Wolitzer-esque quality to Truth or Dare that feels refreshing in Swedish literature.

bestselling and awardwinning Scandi crime series with a unique twist;
Enter Maria Adolfsson’s unique world of Doggerland, the ideal setting for a Nordic Noir series with a twist.
The ’Doggerland’ series is an internationally bestselling and award-winning series, featuring Detective Karen Eiken Hornby within the unique setting of Maria Adolfsson’s imaginary Doggerland islands. This fictional island civilisation has its own local language, geography, and cultural traditions, rooted in both Britain and Scandinavia.
Fatal Isles is the first book introducing Detective Inspector Karen Eiken Hornby. It’s the morning after Oistra, the big oyster festival on the main island of Doggerland and a woman is found brutally murdered on a secluded part of the island.
With seven instalments to date, Maria Adolfsson has put the Doggerland Islands back on the map. Playing with the idea that the islands would have never sunk, and what kind of civilisation that would have emerged there, she weaves the stories around main character Detective Karen Eiken Hornby and the many memorable characters inhabiting the islands. The series is equally appreciated for its unique take on the Scandi Noir genre, with this spectacular location and gripping suspense plots.
The series has sold over 1 million copies worldwide, and published in 20 languages and counting. Fatal Isles, the first book , won the Petrona Award in 2022 and was chosen as the Sunday Times Book of the Month after publication in the UK in 2021.

comes to a close with a new case for Erik Winter
Detective Inspector Erik Winter and his trusted partner Bertil Ringmar are faced with an unusually difficult case, when several young women are attacked and mutilated at night in Gothenburg. The crimes resemble incidents that took place seven years earlier, but the perpetrator was never caught.
In the middle of the investigation, Ringmar – who fears the aging that is starting to catch up to him – has to leave for Kuala Lumpur, where his son Martin, who works as a chef at the luxury hotel Shangri-La, has been reported missing. Soon, Bertil needs Erik's help on the ground.
The Dirty River is the 14th instalment in the series about Erik Winter. Over the years, the series has been praised as one of the foremost in the genre, where Edwardson’s stylistic flair makes the novels stand out. An excellent plotter, each new case is as thrilling as the last, the dialogue is sharp and the characters and settings are ceaselessly intriguing. Each story is anchored by the complicated and brilliant Erik Winter, and heightened by Edwardson’s unique and impressive use of language.
After his success with the historical novel Treblinka Comedy Club, Edwardson returns to the crime genre with Winter’s final case. The result is elusively enigmatic and linguistically exquisite suspense from a master of the genre.

What is it about royalty that is so captivating? Perhaps it is the fact that they live a life of luxury, separate from everyone else. And yet, behind the ball gowns, tiaras and medals, they are people with needs. A need for security, closeness and, above all, love.
The ‘Royal Romance’ series contains fictionalised stories based on the real stories of Swedish royals. They are about beautiful, difficult, passionate and unconventional love. About anguish, torment, happiness and a love where the crown, duty and tradition are the main obstacles. But also about a love that survives against all odds and never dies.
Darling is the first book in the series, and it tells the tumultous love story of Lilian Craig and Prince Bertil.
In the second book, The Escape, we follow Princess Märtha of Sweden and Crown Prince Olav of Norway as they flee World War II.
In the third book, Dreamscapes, Crown Princess Victoria travels to Egypt with her husband, Crown Prince Gustav. But behind the perfect façade of royal duty lies a heart that longs for more. As Victoria spends more time with her husband's aide, Gustav von Blixen, a man as forbidden as he is irresistible, she is drawn into a world of emotions she has never dared to explore before.
‘Royal Romance’ is a must-read for anyone who likes The Crown, Young Royals and enjoys reading about compelling love stories. Each book is written by a different author, which allows us to keep the series cohesive while giving each book its own unique tone.
‘The portrayal of Lilian and Bertil is vivid and engaging, while maintaining a respectful approach to the real people portrayed. [...] a pleasant and entertaining novel that gives an insight into Swedish royal history.' BTJ

A remarkable collection of poems by Palestinian author Nima Hasan, written in
Nima is writing straight from the critical situation in Gaza, where she is living in an encampment with her children after their house was destroyed by the bomb raids. Her literary precision is utterly captivating.
Since autumn 2023, Nima Hasan has been posting poems on social media. She writes in a light, unpretentious tone, but at the same time with razor-sharp, tumultuous imagery that directly describes the present catastrophe and longingly recalls another existence.
Nima Hasan's poems are not a description of war, they are written while the bombs are falling. How she manages to write with such poetic presence under these conditions is in itself astonishing.
Swedish translator Jasim Mohamed translated the poems as soon as they appeared on his screen. Hasan and Mohamed have since worked closely together to compile this book - the poems have not been published in Arabic, the Swedish translation is an original work. We are proud to share nima's words and hope her poems will reach readers across the world.
Nima Hasan, born in Rafah in 1980, is a Palestinian author from Gaza. Alongside her work as a social worker, she has published two novels and a book in the form of letters, establishing herself as one of Gaza's most respected literary voices. like many writers from Gaza, she turned to Facebook and other social media to share her texts in the wake of Israel's invasion on October 27, 2023.

The internationally acclaimed author Jens Liljestrand is back. Following his international success Even If Everything Ends, sold to over 20 languages, Liberation is an exquisitely intricate novel about how World War II ended everywhere except on Bornholm
Bornholm, Denmark, 1945. Peace is finally within reach as World War II comes to an end. The Swedish doctor Edvard Carlsson has spent the final years of the war trying to contribute to a more bearable existence for the inhabitants of the Danish island, but people regard him with suspicion. The Bornholmites are impatiently awaiting the moment when the German occupiers will lay down their arms and surrender as the British army is expected to arrive. But the Brits never show up.
While the rest of Denmark celebrate their freedom, the tension increases on Bornholm between the German soldiers and the Danish resistance movement. Suddenly, an air raid by the Red Army strikes, as they initiate a new occupation of the island. Despite the war being officially over, catastrophe soon unfolds, and Edvard is drawn in to a web of lies where he feels his tenuous hold on control slipping even further through his fingers.
In Liberation, Jens Liljestrand portrays a traumatic and largely unknown chapter of World War II. He tells the story of the war trauma at Bornholm, where he partly grew up, with great insight, leaving room for both action, despair, and, at times, sharp humour. Masterfully executed, Liberation is a captivating historical novel that also unfolds as an unexpected spy thriller, highly relevant to our present day.
Jens Liljestrand (b. 1974) is a literary scholar, critic and author. He is half Danish and spent his childhood summers at Bornholm. His previous novel Even If Everything Ends, published in 2021, became a huge international bestseller and sold to over 20 languages.
‘Mattson's style is tentative, swirling, light, like the flakes in a snowball, and the scenes are clear as in a waking dream.’ Aftonbladet, on The Year of the Black Moon
The unveiling of an oil painting becomes the catalyst for the breakup of a group of longtime friends. Was anything ever as it seemed?
When a group of friends gather in an artist’s studio, just like any other Sunday, for a viewing of his latest work, a single painting—unveiled with theatrical flair—upends their lives. The artwork, unexpectedly depicting the friends themselves, acts as a mirror and a judgment, exposing tensions, betrayals, and hidden realities. This evening will alter their lives forever.
At the center is Miriam, a reserved conservator of old paintings, whose journey away from her marriage and social circle becomes an exploration of solitude, agency, and renewal. She takes refuge in her workshop, a quiet haven filled with old wood, linseed oil, and the ghosts of history, while the others swirl through summer trips, strained reconnections, and the unravelling of their once-stable roles.
Set against shifting seasons and a backdrop of art studios, parks, and decaying churches, the novel captures the fragile beauty of starting over when one is no longer young—but not yet resigned.
Through gentle observations and tactile detail, the novel paints a world where every object has a story, and every silence holds a reckoning.
Mattson’s prose is elegant, precise, and richly atmospheric. With emotional intelligence and a masterful sense of restraint, she allows tension to build in the interstices between what is spoken and what is withheld. Her characters are rendered with subtle irony, and the result is a novel that haunts with its clarity and lingers with its quiet resolution.

The tenth and final instalment in the beloved ‘Barbarotti’ series by “the Godfather of Swedish Crime”
Barbarotti’s former boss, Inspector Asunander, rheumatic and reclusive, now lives in a well-run retirement home in the walled city of Visby, keeping notes on a thirty-year-old case that was either a murder or a strange disappearance. Unsolved, in any case.

Gunnar Barbarotti and Eva Backman, on the verge of retirement and a quiet life in northern Gotland, are reluctantly drawn in as assistants to their old superior in his investigation. With stakes that will prove higher than ever before.w

A classic crime series by award-winning author Håkan Nesser, with over 7,5 million copies sold
Although introduced as a new crime series, Håkan Nesser’s Barbarotti stories deviate from the structure of classic crime novels. The first title, The Darkest Day (2006), shows the dark secrets of a seemingly ordinary Swedish family when two family members disappear on the eve of a birthday celebration. The Root of Evil (2007) is written from the perspective of the murderer, giving the reader a head start over the police. The third title, The Secret Life of Mr. Roos (2008), is above all the story of a man leaving his old life behind to find a new start. The Lonely Ones (2010), goes back in time to the 1970s, and a group of students whose travels behind the iron curtain will change them forever. The Axe Woman (2012) is the fifth title in the series, and finds Barbarotti, beset by grief, having to tackle a five year old cold case of a missing person. The case is connected to a decade old murder in peculiar ways, a horrific murder that –until now – was thought to be solved.
The Culpability of Albin Runge (2020) is the first true return of Gunnar Barbarotti, and the first book in the series to take place in the picturesque isle of Gotland, as Gunnar Barbarotti and Eva Backman try to solve a deeply personal unsolved case. The Last Days and Death of a Scribe (2021) revolves around a long-lost manuscript and features the world of publishing, taking place during the pandemic. A Letter From Munich (2023) is the eight instalment of the series. Young Man’s Journey Into the Night (2024) is the ninth instalment and the tenth and final part is published in August 2025.

‘The Godfather of Swedish Crime’ Metro
In a weather-worn house on the Swedish coast, a woman begins to unravel the mystery of her family’s past. It might be time to finally confront the long-buried story of her two older sisters: the radiant, inseparable duo Diana and Susanne, the latter long estranged and now living a shadowy life in Florence. In the summer of 1979, the sisters travelled together. Only one of them came home. The rupture that followed devasted the family—and was never fully explained.
Through fragments of childhood memories, unearthed letters, cassette tapes, and old paintings, the narrator begins to piece together the story she has spent her life orbiting but never understood. What emerges is a tale of fierce love and betrayal, the inherited weight of silence, and the impossible longing to repair what was once sacred.
Set between sun-drenched Italian streets and the coastal light of southern Sweden, My Other Sister is a deeply atmospheric novel about the invisible bonds between siblings, and the fragile constellation of memory and identity. Reminiscent of the visually excellent scenery from ‘Call me by your name’, this is a balancing act between urgency and emotion, similar to Sigrid Rausing’s 'Mayhem: A Memoir'. Paborn masterfully evokes a child’s sense of awe and dread, a woman’s reckoning with the past, and the seismic echoes of choices made decades ago.
Sara Paborn writes with poetic clarity and emotional precision. Her prose glows with sensory detail, laced with wit, vulnerability, and a keen eye for the strange, unspoken tensions that define families.

Sanna and Martin are a couple like any other, living with their two teenage kids in a middle-class suburbia outside of Stockholm. Both are successful in their fields, Martin as a realtor with his own firm, and Sanna is just about to jump into a new exciting possibility at the municipality. Perhaps the only thing that makes them stand apart is their obvious happiness: they’ve learned how to hunt together as a couple’s retreat, their trust in each other is palpable, and they seem to be past those difficult years when their daughter Mya wasn’t fitting in and stayed home from school.
But when a video of Mya begins circulating among her schoolmates, their lives start spiraling into chaos. The video, perceived as a potential threat to the school, quickly isolates the family as fear and judgment from their community take hold. Sanna and Martin struggle to connect with Mya and gain her trust. She seems completely absorbed by her life online and a new friend, a boy named Wilk. But is he to be trusted?
Whilst trying to regain control of their lives, new threats seem to be closing in on the family from all angles. As Sanna becomes increasingly paranoid at work, Martin finds traces left behind from someone lurking outside their house at night, someone keeping tabs on their every move…
As rumors and suspicions intensify, Sanna and Martin grapple with a harrowing question: What is happening with their daughter—and how well do they really know her?

A witty, heart-breaking, and irreverent book that traces the friendship of three young women, as they navigate the intricate web of female friendship, life-altering love and Judaism in the 21st century
It’s the summer of 1997, and at a summer camp just outside of Stockholm, the lives of three girls are about to be changed forever. We meet Hanna, who wears expensive brands as a shield, nails chewed to the quick and had the bat mitzvah that all of Stockholm is still reeling from. There’s also wild-child Josephine, whose magnetic beauty enthrals and enraptures, and who is just beginning to unravel her Jewish ancestry. And Dahlia, who always finds herself in the middle, stuck between her friends as well as her Swedish-Israeli parents. When their whirlwind friendship turns sour by the end of camp, they think they’ll never see each other again. But life has other plans in store.
Spanning countries and decades, Different Than All Other Nights is a dark yet funny novel about wanting to give your children the life you never got. Navigating how and when to break or keep traditions, and the force of mind-blowing sex.

Kicki Sehlstedt returns in this instant bestseller. Step into an idyllic small village on the Swedish West Coast where a secret from Midsummer Eve 1994 is about to wash ashore...
On a crisp day in September 2024, two divers make an alarming discovery that will send shockwaves through the idyllic coastal village of Hunnebostrand. On the seabed, a suitcase filled with human remains is found.
Journalist Julia Järvskog, who spent her childhood summers in Hunnebostrand, returns to investigate the case for her true crime podcast ‘Brottet’. Fresh off a groundbreaking season in which her reporting helped exonerate Ronnie Roos, a man convicted of a brutal double murder, Julia is eager to uncover the truth behind the new mystery. As she reconnects with childhood friends, including police officer Kalle Moghini, memories from a fateful summer in 1994 resurface. Among the town's long-buried secrets is the mysterious disappearance of Peder "Peppe" Johansson, a once-admired businessman who vanished without a trace thirty years earlier. Could the remains belong to him? But as Julia gets closer to the truth, she realizes that some people are willing to kill to keep the past buried.
Kicki Sehlstedt masterfully blends psychological depth with an atmospheric depiction of the Swedish West Coast, crafting a gripping mystery where the past and present collide. A taut political thriller, with links to current geo-political tensions, unearthing long-buried secrets in Greenland. As a forgotten chapter of World War II resurfaces, powerful forces move to ensure the past stays buried—no matter the cost
After many years in Denmark, Aviaq Kreutzmann has just started her new position as a Danish-speaking priest in Nuuk, when a young and ambitious researcher shows up at the church office. He is on the trail of previously unknown American plans to take over Greenland during World War II and needs access to the old archives.
Shortly thereafter, the researcher disappears in the desolate inland of South Greenland, and the police and search teams are left completely in the dark. Kim Hammeken from the Nuuk Police senses that something is seriously wrong, and despite scepticism from his boss and colleagues, he discreetly begins an investigation.
Aviaq, too, is drawn into the mystery of the missing researcher and uncovers clues that have escaped the police's attention. Following separate paths—and clashing along the way—Aviaq and Kim slowly close in on solving a case that has the potential to shake the geopolitical order and cause friction between old friends and allies.
Soon, it becomes clear to Aviaq and Kim that the researcher—if he is still alive—is in grave danger, and that they must begin to cooperate if they are to find him before the truth is buried forever…

With the lush, green forests of Värmland as her backdrop, Anna Tell brings a fresh new take on Scandi Noir
In Anna Tell’s razor-sharp crime series, we meet investigator Hedvig Lilja — a meticulous and uncompromising detective with a background at the Swedish National Operations Department (NOA) in Stockholm. Hedvig is transferred to Värmland, where crime is cloaked in rural silence and heavy layers of secrets.
In the first book, Truth Be Told, Hedvig is drawn into a brutal murder of a police officer. The investigation pulls her deep into a world where silence, loyalty, and unresolved family dramas take on an increasingly central role. Meanwhile, young Elin is searching for answers about her father’s mysterious disappearance during military service 25 years earlier. A web of old wounds and new threats begins to unravel in a Karlstad where no one knows whom to trust anymore.
In the standalone sequel, What Lies Beneath, human remains are discovered outside Arvika—at first appearing to point to a long-cold case. But Hedvig soon suspects something is off. The trail leads to a young woman who once left Sweden to join ISIS—but never arrived. With help from her former colleague Samir Anwar, Hedvig digs deeper into a truth someone has gone to great lengths to bury.
With atmospheric intensity, psychological depth, and strong ties to contemporary Swedish society, Anna Tell weaves together societal issues and personal fates with sensitivity and precision.
'Anna Tell strikes a fine balance between humour, warmth and darkness in her series about Hedvig Lilja, who is also refreshingly ordinary and not always super likeable. Although the pace is restrained and the investigation takes many different turns, this is a real page-turner where nothing is quite as it seems' Jönköpings-posten on What Lies Beneath
'TRUTH BE TOLD is also a good mix of suspense, dark secrets and a cosy atmosphere among the investigating police officers, who drink coffee, beer, eat hamburgers and hunt for killers with the same level of enthusiasm. Besides, Hedvig Lilja is a well-developed main character who isn’t afraid of cutting corners if it serves her, and who’s private life takes up just the right amount of space.' Jönköpings-posten on What Lies Beneath
‘I was completely captivated by this gentle and loving portrayal of Hedda's journey into an adult world where love, violence and civil courage are intertwined in a phenomenal page-turner. I shed many tears while reading it, but I still carry a warm feeling of hope with me afterwards. The Chain is a book that stays in your heart, a story that is much needed in our current times.’

There is simultaneously a depth and a lightness in Ingrid Marie Thorslund’s writing, as she captures the voice of the child without compromising the integrity of the language or, for that matter, the child's ability to express herself. There is a lot to read between the lines in her delicate, gripping and action packed story.

The August Prize winning author of The Gutenberg Galaxy and Notes from a Summer Cottage is back with a new exceptional nature memoir
If Notes from a Summer Cottage was about the local animals surrounding Nina Burton’s small summer house, The World of Wandering Animals takes us on a winding journey, from the very north of Norway, to animals in captivity in Swedish animal parks, and lastly to the wild savannahs of Africa.
It begins with an eye operation. As Nina’s vision is blurred, surging like the sea, perhaps this change can help her really get closer to the perspective of the creatures living under the waves? And so, she goes to northern Norway to participate in a whale-watching excursion. We learn that fish living in captivity have fewer brain neurons, that the World Bank values a living whale at 2 million pounds, and about the mysterious Greenland shark that lives for centuries.
Behind the secure bars of the animal park we learn about giraffes’ 360 degree vision, the gender roles of hyenas, and Biruté Galdika who came to Borneo in the 1970s to study orangutans. Soon though, the bars of the parks seem just as the surface of the sea – an impenetrable barrier between the observer and the observed, and a longing to see the animals following their true nature is born. The journey goes on to the Serengeti.
With inspiring curiosity, Nina brings us on an expedition filled with personal musings woven together with scientific exploration in her newest nature memoir. Nina reminds us of everything we risk losing while the world is rapidly becoming inhabitable for so many species beyond our own.

When Canute was crowned King of England in 1016, he became one of Europe's most powerful rulers. He had annexed England, Denmark, Norway and parts of Sweden and married Emma of Normandy, he had conquered kingdoms and forged an empire.
The path to the throne was the result of alliances and betrayals between the most famous figures of the Viking Age: Olof the Scotsman, Sigrid the Great, Erik the Wise, Olav the Holy, Sweyn Forkbeard and Harald Bluetooth.
But as Canute emerged victorious, he caused two worlds to collide: the Viking rulers had plunder and tribute as traditional sources of income - while the English in a medieval way raised taxes, customs and fees. A clash of religion: the Vikings in the Great Heathen Army saw themselves as Odin's warriors, while Alfred the Great's Christian army consisted of men who viewed the Vikings as God's punishment for their sins.
But these new alliances came at a price: the fall of the Viking dynasty.
The North Sea Empire: The Last Days of the Vikings is a major new work of non-fiction and a vivid portrayal of the destructive and bloody leap between the Vikings and the Middle Ages – a transformative period when the map of power in Europe was redrawn and modern Christian society began.

secret and the birth of the worker’s movement in Sweden
On a freezing February morning in 1942, a young woman flees barefoot on a snow-covered field in Skåne. In her wake lies an unthinkable tragedy: the brutal killing of her mother and three of her siblings in a ‘statarhus’ on a nearby estate. The man responsible is her father, Elof Nilsson—described by neighbors and employers as nothing but mild, decent, and devoted.
In The Merciful Killer, Patrik Svensson investigates the true story behind a crime that has a notably personal connection; Elof Nilsson was Patrik’s grandmother’s uncle. The story of Elof and the unspeakable murder he committed has been told through the years, but no one has had the answer to the most pressing question: Why did he do it?
Through meticulous archival research and deeply humane style, Patrik reconstructs Elof’s life: born into the Swedish ‘statar’ system, raised in rootlessness and toil, broken by grief, poverty, and the weight of invisible burden. What unfolds is not only a portrait of a man, but of a society teetering on the edge of modernity.
Set against the barren beauty of the southern Swedish countryside, and framed by the silent vigil of a lone Minervan owl, this book explores the toll of generational poverty, the fatalism bred by the class system, and the mysteries that still surround even the most documented lives.
From the author of The Gospel of Eels comes this piercingly observant literary true crime, both chilling and humbling in it’s historical rigor and warm sensitivity.

Sometimes this feeling is even enhanced when a piece of grass appears in the yarn – a gentle reminder of the sheep grazing in summer. Wool yarn provides just the right amount of warmth, breathes well, and rarely needs washing. It feels good in your hands and is a pleasure to work with – addictive in the best possible way!

With illustrations by two of Sweden’s finest bird artists, brothers Bill and Dan Zetterström, you’ll become familiar with the birds of each season and their unique characteristics. Every month and week features a new species. The watercolours are accompanied by insightful texts written by the experienced ornithologist Niklas Aronsson.
This is a calendar for both the dedicated birdwatcher and anyone who simply appreciates beautiful birds!
Loving Limits is the book for parents who long for a close, secure, and respectful relationship with their child. Grounded in modern research, it shows you how to create a warm and trusting home environment – while also setting clear and loving limits.
Whether you’re parenting an independent three-year-old, a sensitive six-year-old, or a challenging teenager, this is an invaluable guide to parenting based on mutual respect, empathy, and collaboration. The book helps strengthen both your own and your child’s self-esteem – and creates a home where everyone feels they belong.
Taking on the cold season and the Nordic winter, knitwear designer Maja Karlsson has created twenty-five warm and cozy, woollen knitting projects. The garments range from quick-knit mittens, leg warmers, socks, and hats, to slightly larger projects such as jumpers and cardigans. Projects to keep the whole body warm!
The projects are graded according to difficulty and are size inclusive. There are easy-to-follow descriptions, a knitting school and diagrams, alongside Maja’s cosy and personal texts, tips, and advice. And as always with Maja’s books; they are beautifully illustrated with fantastic photography by Helene Pé. Simply put, this book makes your fingers itch to start knitting!

Discover how black holes work, where they come from, and what role they play in the universe. How is it even possible to know that we are on a 230 million year journey around the Milky Way with an enormous black hole at its centre? What happens when black holes collide? Are we living in a black hole? And how do we even know any of this?
Based on interviews with over 20 leading black hole researchers, including several Nobel Laureates, Facing Infinity deciphers the most mind-bending science whilst retaining a sense of wonder, in an approachable and spellbinding journey into the universe's greatest mysteries. With foreword by Frank Wilczek, winner of the Nobel Prize for Physics.
A highly topical and accessible read by Norway’s most interesting, contemporary philosopher.
In today’s society, we are asked to follow our hearts, break norms and not care what other people think about us. How then do we find ourselves in the middle of a shame epidemic, with rising depression numbers, particularly among young people?
Has the ideal of shamelessness – opposed to its intent –ended up creating more shame instead of less? In this clever and highly relevant book, philosopher Kaja Melsom takes a sharp look at our ideals of living without shame, and how we may be more sensitive to shame than ever.

Based on openhearted interviews with all four members of ABBA and through personal narrative, this book widens our view on one the world’s most famous, and private, bands
ABBA remains one of the world’s most played and loved bands of all time. It doesn’t matter that 41 years have passed since their infamous breakup. Somewhere in the world, there is always an ABBA song playing.
Inspired by Craig Brown’s biography about The Beatles, One Two Three Four, Jan Gradvall places ABBA at the centre of music history and through him we are allowed closer than ever before to one of the world’s most private bands.
