About me

Industrial design engineer with a passion for user-centred design

I am very passionate about sustainable and inclusive design and I am always looking for new and exciting design opportunities to enhance the everyday life of the user or a way to transform a waste material into a product. I find inspiration in art, nature and the small details of everyday life.

Outside of design I enjoy rollerblading, growing crops in my allotment garden and learning new hobbies.

I hope this portfolio finds you well. Best regards

Lunar Speaker

Lunar is a series of modular speakers designed to integrate the sound system as part of the interior and meet the needs of different generations. The design language has been developed thorugh an analysis of B&O and Bolia products. Lunar One is for parents and focuses on gadget features and interior. Lunar Home is for grandparents and emphasizes a simple and easy-to-use interactive interface. Lunar Move is for teenagers, offering them the ability to bring the speaker along when going out.

The design of Lunar was a highly iterative process, involving several sketches, mock-ups, and user group testing to refine its form and functionality, providing valuable insights into how users would interact with the product. The final design is intended to be crafted from steam-bent oak wood, followed by precise shaping using a 5-axis CNC machine. However, to evaluate the size, look, and user interaction of the speaker early in the process, a full-scale prototype in different materials was presented.

The Lunar speaker´s product architecture is designed with modularity in mind, aiming to minimize production costs. By using the handle from the Lunar Move version as a shared interface across the other two versions of the speaker, the design simplifies manufacturing. This approach of designing for manufacturing, not only reduces costs but also contributes to sustainability, ensuring that production runs can be more efficient and environmentally friendly.

Conceptual redesign of Speaker-lamp

During my internship at Kreafunk, a small easy-tech company, they wanted help redesigning their speaker-lamp aLOOMI, as sales had been underwhelming, and they were looking for something more commercially appealing. The result is aLOOMI 2.0. The inspiration comes from Japanese Kokeshi dolls, with the intention of creating a personalized product, though a neutral version is also available. The product is expected to be launched in the near future.

The lower part of aLOOMI 2.0 houses the sound-producing components. By pinching the upper part of the speaker-lamp, the light can be adjusted as desired.

Self-produced stool of sustainable materials

The Trazz stool is a result of an introduction to entrepreneurship and Lean Startup, where 20 products should be defined, designed and developed and sold within 10 days. The colorful stools were produced through collaboration with stakeholders and were sold in limited editions due to the unpredictable patterns of the materials, and were marketed as coffee tables, nightstands, and plant holders. They sold out before they even hit the market, through online orders via social media.

- Trazz Stool

The Trazz Stool is a sustainable piece of furniture made by hand from leftover materials, with the seat created from recycled bottles cast in cement and the frame made from upcycled Ikea stools. It was developed with a focus on selling them to women that are interested in sustainability.

The stools are delivered in sustainable packaging laser cut from reused cardboard which was submitted to the Pro Carton Young Designers Award, focusing on sustainable design in packaging.

Requiem Bench

fittet Bent Hansens Design DNA

The Requiem Bench is designed for Bent Hansen, reflecting the company’s design DNA and core values. Known for its commitment to quality materials like wood and leather, Bent Hansen prioritizes longevity in its products. This bench is a strategic addition to their portfolio, introducing an open storage solution while being thoughtfully designed for flat-pack shipping to reduce the company’s CO2 footprint

An analysis of the company’s entrance furniture revealed a lack of shoe storage. Based on this insight, a market study of shoe benches was conducted to determine whether a closed, semiclosed, or open storage solution would best suit Bent Hansen’s needs

A lot of tests were carried out to get the right measurements of the bench, both in terms of the width of the armrest and the width of the rack, in order for it to hold different shoe sizes. In addition a Value Chain Map was created, determined by the company´s business plan.

Terazzo Chair -

from recycled materials

The Terrazzo Chair is a simple and classic dining room chair made of recyclable materials. The seat and the backrest is made of shredded up recycled plastic, giving the chair it’s characteristic look. The overall design language, deriving from tangled tree roots, is determined by the frame which is made up by steel pipes. These materials allow for the chair to be assembled by screws in the same color of plastic as the seat and backrest, making it possible for the joints to be almost invisible.

Terazzo Chair

The design concept was to create a chair following a circular business strategy, ensuring that all materials used could be repurposed. To achieve this, shredded plastic was tested to evaluate its behavior and suitability for the design.

With design for manufacturing in mind, an offspring of the original design was developed, leaving the frame intact while the plastic moulding was altered,

I like using my hands and learning new skills which is why I ended up building my own allotment house, learning how to weld and do carpentry work. I try to be as self sufficient as possible with solar power and by growing my own crops, trying to reduce my own carbon footprint on the world. I enjoy being outdoors and often go on hikes in or outside of Denmark. Additionally, I enjoy expressing my creativity through photography, art, and crafting, with hobbies such as jewelry making, floral design and knitting.
