welcome
It is with excitement and anticipation, we welcome you to the first installment of “The Social” Limousin Sale.
“The Social” is a name that we came up with that has turned into a concept; Bringing good cattle and great people together at one great location.
We truly believe that the one of the greatest strength in the Limousin breed at this moment in time is the people and families involved. This was never more visible than at the CJLA Impact Show hosted in Lindsay this past August.
When we decided to join forces and bring together an awesome set of cattle, it was tough not to draw a few parallels between the Pinch Hill and Windy Gables herds.
• Both programs got their start in 1984 and fittingly both programs are celebrating their 40th Limousin calf crop in 2024.
• Both programs are family based operations that strive to produce cattle that are accepted and excel in the commercial and real world setting while maintaining “the look” and show ring appeal.
• Both programs are firm believers in the fact that structurally correct and well-built cattle do not go out of style
• Both programs have focused on maternal traits and calving ease and strive to source leading edge genetics
• Both programs believe that all work and no play make Chad, Brandon and Nathan very dull boys!
The offering we have put together have been parent verified and 100K Genomic tested so you can have great faith and trust in the product we are presenting. These females have been worked around, hand fed daily and tie broke. With younger generations entering the fold, docility is paramount and a trait that is monitored and maintained within each herd.
October 19th is going to be a great day filled with fun, laughs, great food, great people and great cattle.
We welcome any inquires on the lots presented here and would be glad to review the lots and answer any questions you may have.
Better yet, consider this your personal invitation to join us at Windy Gables on October 19th and get “Social.”
Cheers, Nathan and Chad
When we set out to have The Social, we wanted to dig deep into the herd and share something that represents our program, Gin is a cow that does that for us. Productive, stylish, stout, easy doing in an attractive package! Her dam was one of the oldest Windchill daughters that had a successful show career, and the Entourage daughters really excel in production. This one you can buy with confidence and safe to Hardrock only adds to the excitement.
SYES Hardrock 65H – Service Sire
Pinch Hill Dixie Chick 625D – Dam
WGL 17M has had the look since day one. Watching her develop on pasture this summer has been enjoyable with her eye appeal, thickness and style. She has been the first one on the radar for visitors with the amount of hip she carries while still hanging on to the right amount of femininity. What we appreciate the most is seeing a cow family we have built from the ground up and its something we are sharing with an embryo opportunity on this females dam WGL 17E and her grand dam WGL Baby Blythe 3B Lot 19.Come see the whole family on the 19th. Selling half interest, full possession.
WGL 3B Grand Dam
RPY Paynes Rush - Sire
The Anchor B Jack Daniels bull was one that had caught our eye, from an outcrossed pedigree for our herd, to his look and design. When we were given the opportunity to purchase a breeding share with a small group of elite breeders led by Stewart Limousin, we jumped in with both feet. 322L is the first JD calf to be born at our place and she has never looked back, they have a look while having an extra shot of muscle and growth. Her Willard dam has been a consistent producer for her entire career and the only reason that 322L is on offer is we have a full sister in the replacement pen.
Pinch Hill Enchanted 714E – Maternal Sister
XPC 919G – Maternal Brother, Sold to Diamond R Cattle Co. of Okla.
Greenwood Easy Money – Service Sire
323L is another Jack Daniels daughter that has a little extra twist to her pedigree with her dam being sired by ROMN Cadillac Jack. Her maternal cow family is full of sale highlights and longevity, with her grand dam remaining productive into her 15th year. She is a female that has that cow look already and has the making of a beautiful udder coming, her mating to Langston is one that has us excited to follow this one’s future. She does carry a smooth scab scur, tested hetro polled.
XPC 15H – Maternal Sister
Anchor B Jack Daniels 1J- Sire
XPC 312L – Service Sire
Our experiment with a fall calving herd has been producing the results we were anticipating; well bred, extra age cattle that are able to move into an early calving cycle and confidence in breeding back quicker and maintaining condition. 109K is one we are confident in. From the Utter Perfection cow family, she is moderate deep and pretty made. This female has a ton of capacity and style all while maintaining an abundant amount of thickness and substance. The EPD spread is on point with a top 10% for MK and TM and her February calf will be the first born calf by our newest herd sire ROMN Lock Down 110L. This females has all the parts necessary to move the breed forward.
Wulfs Haiti 4708H- Sire
ROMN Lock Down 110L- Service Sire
Power is the name of the game for WGL 112K. We have adored the stock we have raised from this cow family that started with Koyle Yellow Rose 37Y and carried on by WGL 10E, WGL 9F- two females at the fore front of WGL. 112K is a big and powerful female that is built right and we have had fun watching her develop. Her dam, WGL 9F, has an udder that you wish on every cow in the herd and 112K will deliver the same. Bred safe to SYES Hard Rock 65H adds another dimension to this successful and profitable cow family.
Wulf s Haiti 4708H- Sire

Larkin or her barn name “Project” is one that combines our two most famous cow families, the Royalty’s and the Xuby’s. Larkins maternal sisters Big Booty was the 2015 Reserve National Champion and another maternal sister Fantasy 824F was the 2022 National Champion, Fantasy has started her own history in her short production career. 336L is carrying a service to Windchill, the resulting calf will be a ¾ sibling to Fantasy 824F in blood. Larking was 2023 Rs Jr Heifer Calf at the Royal.
2015 Reserve National Champion Female
Windchill – Service sire and 2015 National Champion Bull
Pinch Hill Fantasy 824F –Maternal Sister
Henry Ford is a bull who not a lot of people got to see, a calf during the covid shutdown, which stole his show career. It certainly did not hurt his breeding career though. This female is picture perfect in her structure and build. She is setting up a great looking udder to follow in her dams footsteps. The Kaiser on her maternal side adds a nice twist to her pedigree. This female is backed by some outstanding females on both sides and has a bright future ahead of her.
Henry Ford – Sire
Greenwood Easy Money – Service Sire
A fall born daughter of Wulfs Haiti 4708H, 109K is a highly regarded female in our heifer pen due to her size and capacity- something has had a reoccurring theme in her bloodline that goes all the way back to the Lakeridge cows we acquired in 2008.The group of females from Lakeridge bolstered and changed the dynamic of our herd and this is something that can still be seen today throughout the WGL cows.If her overall size and mass don’t catch you, the EPD’s will! Top 15% for WW and YW and 5% for MK- the numbers don’t lie!
Wulf s Haiti 4708H- Sire
SYES Hardrock 65H – Service Sire
12L is the only January born heifer we bred this spring as we shift our replacement first calf heifers to a fall breeding. Here comes another big performance minded female by Summit Ranch Hand P40 that has the right pieces in place. Her dam is a young hard working Zambuka daughter that goes back to the foundation Lakeridge group of cows that have produced some awesome bulls and females each year. 12L is not going to miss with her confirmed pregnancy to ROMN Lock Down 110L- Reserve Champion Limousin Bull that we selected out of the 2024 Black Hills Stock Show in South Dakota. Maternal strength and a cool pedigree twist for the future.

This heifer and her flush mate sister on offer are the result of an embryo purchase from Pinnacle View Limousin in BC. 301L is a big powerful heifer that is sound and correct in all aspects. Backed by the ever-popular Bentley, and the proven track record of her donor dam WGL 8A sets her up for success. Bred early to our Junior Herd sire Langston a Homo Polled Dollar Bill son out of a no miss Mags Xylopolist daughter will be a mating we have a lot of confidence in.
WGL Arizona 8A – Donor Dam
XPC 312L - Service Sire
B Bar Bentley – Sire
The ET sister to 301L is another promising brood cow prospect, she has the better set of EPD’s of the pair and is carrying an interesting service to the Homo Polled Greenwood Easy Money bull that is left his mark on the Boulder Land and Cattle herd where he was a walking sire. This homo polled long sided attractive female is one to needs a second look at if you are looking for a cow to raise your next herd sire.

I never thought I would have to write a footnote for a Hawkins female, I was adamant we were going to keep everyone we had, but an inaugural sale will make you do silly things. 307L is a dark cherry red beauty with power and mass, yet still carries herself with an aire of grace and elegance. She is off a picture-perfect Earmark cow that was raised by our Fruitloops Donor. Not to mention the dam of Hawkins is about as solid of a producing female as the breed has for 777 Cattle of Stettler, AB.
XPC 312L – Service Sire
Pinch Hill Fruitloops 802F –Maternal Grand Dam
A long, deep and homo polled calf, the lineage she carries sets the tone for the future. This stylish and correct TREF Hardcore carries some awesome WW and YW EPD to add to the impact she can make on a herd much like her grand dam and former matriarch of the WGL herd, Greenwood PLD Treffic 77T. With 3 direct daughters of 77T in the herd, the dam of 19M has a full and picture perfect udder and a disposition that is second to none; something we have admired about the Redwood females. Maternal possibilities are endless with 19M.
WGL 19D Dam
TREF Hard Core 204H - Sire
WGL 4M is a long, deep sided and square made daughter of TREF Hardcore with maternal attributes that extend from her grand dam Ivy’s Utter Perfection 5U. Made correct and sound, she has production and longevity on her side. A maternal sibling, WGL Jail Bait, is producing some good ones at Pinch Hill in early in her career and we are excited to see where 4M is going to set the bar for this foundation cow family.
WGL Jail Bait 18J- Maternal sibling Owned by Pinch Hill Limousin
WGL 211H- Maternal sibling Owned by Diamond C Ranch
WGL 3F Owned by Locust Lane Limousin, Perry NY
A dark red eye catcher with an awesome profile by a good young cow, 11M deserves some attention on sale day. Correct from every angle 11M was pulled in to the sale pen at the last minute, broke with ease and is just starting to hit her stride. The dam of 11M, Arcons Forget Me Not 11F, is a fertile cow that you can set your watch by at calving time being at the front of the early calving group.
WGL 2K- Maternal Sib Owned by Preferred Limousin
TREF Hard Core 204H - Sire
This is the rare opportunity to purchase full sib embryos to the 2022 Reserve National Champion Female shown by the Darling Family. That female has gone on to be extremely successful in production. Fantasy is a true Windchill Daughter, wedge shaped, attractive, maternal and a great milker. Her calves have growth and look, and she seems to click with any bull with cross her on.
2022 RAWF 824F & 209K- Donor Dam and Maternal Sister, 2022 National Champion Female
2022 RAWF 118J – Full Sister to Embryos, 2022 Reserve National Champion Female
XPC 118J and Calf – Full Sister to Embryos, 2023 OLA Provincial Show Champion Female
Fruitloops is a female that quietly goes on about her business and raises a good one at the top of the pen every year, when I think of my ideal cow, this girl has a lot of the pieces that we look for. Fertile, good uddered, tremendous maternal strength while still being attractive and easy doing. Most people know her as the CLA poster cow this past year nursing that big strapping bull calf. The mating to Hardrock is one we can hardly wait to have arrive, our first crop of Hardrock’s is flat out awesome.
Pinch Hill Lockhartt 310L – Maternal brother to Embryos, Senior Bull Calf Champion 2023 RAWF
SYES Hardrock 65H – Sire of Embryos
XPC 802F and XPC 310L- Donor and Maternal Brother, Champion Female at the 2023 Expo- Boeuf
We decided the 3B cow family needed to grow as we have retained daughters that stand out when on pasture tours.
We sent 3B and daughter 17E to Quebec for a round of IVF Flushing and when this pair of cows went to work, they pushed the limit on fertilized eggs. 3B is a big, broody easy keeping female by Greenwood Zambuka that does not disappoint at calving time.
With the addition of Hard Rock on the sire side of these embryos, a genetic explosion awaits.
WGL 17E Daughter and Dam of Lot 2
WGL 17M- Grand daughter selling as Lot 2
SYES Hardrock 65H – Service Sire
WGL 17E is a cow that is just hitting her stride. Her 2024 calf is an absolute knockout and sells as our lead off lot and her dam is featured as an embryo lot in this inaugural sale.
She is thick made, sound and complete daughter of Wulf Archibald that we really admire for her mothering ability.
Another flush we are confident in and backed up by SYES Hard Rock 65H.

Semen availability, first come first serve. Packs of 10 Straws $1000,
Hardrock is a bull that Nathan and I sourced out and took a chance on in our travels in South Dakota in January of 2023. We rushed to get a deal done and semen on the way for that breeding season, we were fortunate to catch the tail end of both herds, and the results did not disappoint. Moderate sized calves arrived with a tremendous amount of vigor and smarts, they continued to grow fast and have that extra look, muscle shape and eye-catching presence about them. As we enter the late summer and get then calves in the barn, they are calm and docile, and we are excited to watch them develop and get the next crop on the ground!
Syes Kane 601K – son of Hardrock
SYES Keynote 65k- Maternal Brother to Hardrock
Miss Devils Lake 77k –Paternal Sister to Hardrock

First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. If you are a past participant in the Farm Gate Timed auctions simply enter your username and password to continue. This takes you to a list of both current and upcoming Farm Gate Auctions.
2. You can choose your favourite lots in this sale at this time and the program will allow you to open either all sale lots or just your favorite lots on your screen. Any time there is active bidding on a lot you have identified on your favorite list you will get a text and/or an email noting this activity.
3. The program allows you to place a proxy bid on any sale lot. This in fact protects your interest in any lot of interest for you to a specified dollar value you set, when you may not be able to give 100% attention to the sale. If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and
bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest.
4. At closing time of the sale the entire sale will extend bidding if a bid is placed on any lot in the sale. Any bid received after close time will extend the sale by the time listed on each sale. In most cases the time gets shorter the longer in to extended bidding the sale is. When no bidding occurs for the extended time the computer will declare the sale finished.
5. Following the sale the Consignor or Sale Manager will invoice all buyers in the sale, please contact the seller with questions or to arrange delivery, pick up or shipping of your purchases.

FAQ:
WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE SALE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORK? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
