Peak Dot Ranch Heifers... The value of a heifer with added age...
For the last few years we have been taking all our fall replacment heifers and breeding them in May at 18 months of age. We have found not only they maintain themselves better after calving than a conventional heifer, they consistently wean off more pounds. Conception rates whether in an AI timed program or natural service were also better not only the first year but the next year after they weaned off their first calf. Take a look through the Yearling Bull Section of this book and look at the tremendous job the heifers did the previous year on their first calves weaning weights.

We are currently calving our first Iron Mountain daughters bred to SAV Eliminator 9105 and SAV Bullet 0473. They calve easy, make great mothers, and have exceptional udders.
