OCTOBER 19, 2024 ON DLMS FARM GATE TIMED AUCTIONS
3RD ANNUAL ONLINE PRODUCTION SALE
OCTOBER 19, 2024 ON DLMS FARM GATE TIMED AUCTIONS
On behalf of everyone involved with the sale we would like to humbly welcome you to Renfrew on October 19 to join us for a prime rib dinner and social for our 3rd annual online sale.
With our good friends the Vos’s we believe we have once again assembled an excellent group of show heifers, donor prospects and some elite genetic opportunities for your appraisal.
We dont believe in just selling show cattle. Our mission is to produce a product that will compete at any level of competition in the show ring, and when the show career is over that same animal will become a hard working momma cow or herd sire for years to come. To show our commitment and how much we believe in the animals we sell we have invited past customers to sell the progeny off their past purchases through this sale. We welcome Kevin, Tracy, and Morgan MacIntyre of Xcel Livestock as well as Rick Stull and family of Upper Glen Angus.
What makes this sale unique is you have a chance to acquire cattle that are directly out of active show strings. Cattle that have competed and won all over Canada and the United States will be available October 19. Breed Champions and Reserves, Supreme
champions, Royal Supreme qualifiers and Agribition Supreme qualifiers for this fall can all be found in this sale.
With our children becoming more and more involved, disposition is everything. These cattle go through rigorous training. Whether it’s enduring selfies, random tattoo checks during watering, or meltdowns over who gets to lead who, this sale offering is truly special.
Whether you’re looking for your next junior project, donor prospect, herdsire, or elite frozen genetics, we feel this sale has something for everyone.
If you have any questions please feel free to contact any of us at Enright Farms, Vos Vegas Farms, Xcel Livestock, or Upper Glen Angus. As well as anyone at the Bohrson Marketing Team.
If you come in person there will be lots of little tour guides willing to show you Prim, Annie Pickles, Nowatzke or even a free kitten!
Sean Enright

From the elite heifer calves, to special bred females, genetic opportunities, and even a unique herdsire prospect - there is an elite front end to this sale but it is also packed with depth throughout the offering. Do not miss the opportunity in this sale to acquire an exceptional daughter of the SUPREME CHAMPION Primrose 935 by SAV Magnum or a flush on her to the bull of your choice. HOW TO BID | WWW.DLMS.CA | HOW TO PARTICIPATE IN A FARMGATE TIMED AUCTION
After you are at the FarmGate Timed auction site click the LOGIN/ REGISTRATION button.
FIRST TIME FARMGGATE USERS: First time users will select the REGISTER button from this page. Fill out the registration form to signup for a free user account and it allows you to select a username and password for use on all Farm Gate Timed auctions. (please note due to some of the text notification features the FarmGate Time Auction Site requires a new account separate account from your DLMS Live sale site)
- After you create your FarmGate account you will receive a txt message with a pin code to verify your account. - On your first log in to FarmGate Timed auctions we recommend you go to your profile and confirm your notifications are set to YES. This allows the site to send you text and/or email notifications when you are out bid and if there is activity on your favorite lots.
RETURNING FARMGGATE USERS: If you have used Farm Gate Timed auctions in the past simply enter your user name and password to continue. After you have logged in you are able to browse the timed auctions on DLMS FarmGate Timed Auctions.
HOW TO BID IN A TIMED AUCTION: Now that you are logged in and your account phone number / email is verified you are able to bid on an upcoming sale. Simply find the lot you are interested in bidding on. After you have found the lot there are 2 options for bidding on the lot.
PLACE NEXT BID – to place the next bid on the item, you see the amount in the first box, you simply click the “Place Bid” button and after you review the bid and agree to the terms and conditions your bid will be placed. MAX BID AMOUNT – to place a max bid you put your max bid in the second box listed as “Max Bid” on the item, and then click the “Place Bid” button and after you review the bid and agree to the terms and conditions your bid will be placed as the next bid. With the Max Bid placed the computer will then keep you as the high bidder to the max amount you have placed. This can be a great feature if you are not able to give 100% attention to the sale close out and protect your interest so you do not miss out on any lots you want to purchase. The Max Bid amount is completely confidential from the seller during the sale process.
EXAMPLE OF HOW THE MAX BID WORKS - If the lot has a $2000 bid on it and you place a proxy bid of $3500 into the system, the computer will bid $2100 for you but if some one else bids $2200, the computer will again
bid for you, this time at $2300. The system will look after your interest to a maximum of $3500. If another bidder is on at $3600, your proxy will no longer be effective and you will no longer have the winning bid on this lot without once again logging in and bidding again or moving your attention to a second lot of interest. Please note that in some cases a lot value can change very quickly if 2 max bids are placed on the same lot competing against each other.
WATCH LIST FEATURE: If you have items in multiple auctions or only a few from the same auction that you want to watch with out having to scroll through the entire list you can add the lots to your watchlist. On each lot you will see the “eye” button beside the bid button, by clicking this “watchlist” Icon that item is added to your personal watchlist for easy viewing of just your favorite lots in this sale or on the entire site.
SALE ENDING / CLOSEOUT: Most FarmGate Timed Auction sales close racehorse style with extended bidding.
WHAT IS RACEHORSE STYLE CLOSE? Racehorse style sale close is when the entire sale stays open in extended bidding. This type of sale allows you as the bidder to change to a different lot within the same sale if the bidding has gone in to extended bidding.
HOW WILL EXTENDED BIDDING WORKS? When we get to the close out end time the clock for close extends with any bid placed with less than 5 min on the clock. This type of extended bidding turns the end time to more of a soft time. Extended bidding allows bidders to compete in lots like a real auction and give all bidders the same time to make a decision. Always follow the clock to see how much time remains in the sale you are interested in.
BIDDING CLOSE & FOLLOW-UP: After the clock has gone to “ENDED” and no bidding has occurred for 5 min the computer will declare the sale finished. Following the close typically within 24 hours of the sale close the sale consignor will contact all winning bidders to arrange payment, transfer of pedigrees and delivery/Pick up of your lot. Or as the winning bidding you can contact the sale consignor / sale manager to confirm payment instructions.
- Please make sure that your account info is up-to-date and correct if you are the winning bidder of a lot as this is how the billing is sent to Sale manager and/or Sale consignor.
Trying to figure out what to say about EF PRIMROSE 2314 is probably the most difficult. It’s not that there’s nothing to say, it’s that we could probably write a whole page about her and trying to narrow it down seems to be challenging. Some calves from a very young age you can tell they are going to be different than the rest. Like her mother, EF Primrose 2314 was born to be a show heifer. She has been campaigned all over Ontario, Quebec, Michigan, Oklahoma and Wisconsin, claiming many banners in her travels. Anna and “Prim” have become inseparable when it comes to the show ring. No matter the stakes, they have taken it head on becoming very successful. 2314’s dog like disposition has made her the go to heifer for showmanship classes. When having a sale we always want to sell our very best. Last fall we made the difficult decision to keep 2314 out of last years sale with a plan to have EF Primrose 2314 lead off this years sale as a bred heifer. It’s one thing to think this but to have everything come together is another. We feel the picture and video will speak for themselves. She is moderately made female with tons of power and style, and like her mother she possesses that incredible flexibility in her movement. A heifer we truly believe in not only as a show heifer but as a truly unique donor prospect. If you’re looking for a female that has a proven pedigree, a proven track record, her own personal showman, and five little cheerleaders then lot 1 is the one for you! Selling 1/2 interest.
The very first chance to own a 925 daughter in her entirety! The mating between EF Primrose 925 and the new ST Genetics sire SAV Magnum was designed to breed cattle that were tailored towards the commercial cattleman. We knew the 925 cow could produce beautiful females, but we wanted to see how she worked with more performance based genetics. EF Primrose 2404 is the only female that resulted in this flush, but one who has been on the radar since a young age. She shares the similar qualities as her dam in terms of eye appeal and incredible flexibility. This trait leading female is one we should be keeping a part of as well but we can’t keep them all. Similar qualities as her dam in terms of disposition, eye appeal and incredible flexibility. This trait leading female is one that looks even better in person and one we look forward to seeing what she can do for her new owner!
OWNED WITH OATTES CATTLE COMPANY
RIGHT TO FLUSH
FLUSH TERMS: Guaranteeing a minimum of 6 transferable embryos with no maximum. 50% down at sale time and 50% at flush time. All flush costs are the responsibility of the buyer. Open and ready to flush.
3 EMBRYOS
Here is your very own opportunity to Flush one of the most dominate females in the country! EF Primrose 925 blazed a trail across Canada in 2022. Becoming one of the most decorated cow/calf pairs to show. The only time we have offered a flush on this female was through this sale. The first two flushes were purchased by Vos Vegas Farms and Bar-E-L Angus with an average sale price of $22,250. Champion Angus Female 9 times and Supreme Female 8 times. Topping it all off with Supreme Champion Female at Agribiton. The 925 progeny have followed suit in blazing their own trails. EF OATTES PRIMROSE 2234 was the featured lot 1 female from our inaugural sale. She blew the roof off that night selling 1/2 interested for $31,000 to Osterndorff Farms. She herself claimed many champion and supreme champion honours in 2023. The lot 1 female EF Primrose 2314 has also been very competitive on both sides of the boarder, being named Champion Female numerous times. EF Good Vibes 2363 is the first son of EF Primrose 925 and he too has started to hang some banners of his own. Just recently being named Supreme Male at the Carp Fair. This mid May bull is one we look forward to using more of in our program. Take your program to the next level with the opportunity to mate one of the breed’s hottest donors to the bull of your choice. The opportunity to acquire some elite embryos by KR Casino is rare. This same mating has already helped raise $9,500 for the Canadian Angus Foundation. When a pregnancy was purchased by long time junior supporter Kevin Blair of Blair’s. Ag in the Building the Legacy Sale.
A very stylish heifer calf that traces back to the Dameron Northern Miss 3114 who is the dam of the infamous Dameron First Class. This young heifer is the first to sell out of the Silveiras Show Time 1332 bull we purchased from the Silveiras Bros in California. With Angus royalty woven throughout this pedigree this Northern Miss female will be a great junior project who will go onto make a very productive cow.
Another Show Time daughter to sell. As is typical of the Show Time progeny they offer that showring presence with added bone and great flexibility. EF Beauty 2426’s dam is an embryo we purchased from Coleman Angus in Montana. Her granddam TLA Beauty 5R is the well known mother of Soo Line Motive 9016. With Bank Note, Motive, and Beauty mentioned throughout her pedigree, EF Beauty 2426 is a maternally bred female with the added eye appeal for the show ring.
EF Blackbird 2401 is another really good SAV Magnum 1335 daughter with that added performance. The Blackbird cow family has been one of the most prolific and productive cow families for us. Her grand dam EXAR Blackbird 5877 is best known for producing the back to back Champion Black Angus bulls at Agribition in 2016 and 2017 and also the RBC Beef Supreme Male in 2016. Her dam EF Blackbird 824 was one of the feature cows we offered an interest in in 2022 which was purchased by Canadian Donors. A maternal sister was also a featured lot in our 2022 sale who was purchased by our good friends Jack MacGregor of FourMac Farms, and Nathan and Jackie Latchford of J Star Livestock. The Blackbird females have proven it both in the show ring and the pasture.
EF Saras Dream 2354 is a result of a pregnancy purchased from Nowatzke Cattle in Indiana. She is by the ever popular SCC SCH 24 Karat 838 on the top half and matriarch herself CCC SARAS DREAM 5116 on the bottom side. Quite possibly one of the most dominate angus females to ever show. CCC Saras Dream 5116’s legacy has only grown with her progeny’s tremendous success. Some of the breeds hottest bulls such as Dignity and Executive Decision are direct sons of 5116. A maternal sister to 2354 was sold in our 2022 sale as feature lot to Morgan MacIntyre. 2354 is a powerful big framed female who is very fluent in her movement. With her tremendous foot quality and teat placement, the mating of Brooking Next Generation is sure to be an impressive cross between show ring royalty of the CCC Saras Dream 5116 family and the Maternal powerhouse Soo Line Rose 1019. Selling 1/2 interest.
EF Annie K 2322 AKA “Annie Pickles”. A females who’s disposition has been second to none since she was a calf has made her one of the favorites. This is a female we had no intention of selling for many reasons. One of the biggest reasons is that we feel she is going to be a very good cow for many years to come and one you can build or help sustain a high quality herd around. The Annie K cow family is known throughout North America for their impeccable feet and superior udder quality. Sired by the record breaking SAV America bull. His daughters have been in production several years now and have become some of the best. If you’re looking for a low input female with longevity in her pedigree 2322 is a must have. With a Brooking National heifer calf at side next year this female will make a lot of friends.
EF Annie K 2317- Another low input, high output Annie K female. This female is a full sister in blood to the lot 7 female. She carries many of the similar characteristics as the lot 8 female in terms of feet and udder quality. Not as much “bloom” as the rest of the offering but we feel she is real honest female who will go on and work hard for her new owners. EF Annie K 2317 is carrying the service to HF Prostar 97L. The lead off bull from the 2024 Hamilton Farms bull sale. HF Prostar 97L caught a lot of attention in the fall last year after being named Senior Bull Calf Champion at Agribition. A bull with tons of performance and a great cow family behind him. Full sister in blood to Lot 8.,
