Backstop was purchased solely for the use on cows and he worked really well without any calving problems plus the rate of gain on his calves are real good. He was bought from the Mcintosh Livestock bull sale in 2019. Backstop’s sire was a herd builder for them. Mcintosh Boulder 27E was a half brother to Backstop but we lost him due to injury.

Last year we needed a heifer bull for the purebreds so we bought Grady from Nickel Farms. He has been the easiest calving bull for the last two years on our heifers. The average birthweight for the bull calves was 78lbs and 74lb for the heifer calves.
