PIONEER The Pioneer line-up is a modern and original programme encompassing both a high-tech and trendy look and a rounded design.

Pioneer combines creativity with technical ingenuity. Some Pioneer models are very suitable for young people up to 16 years, challenging them to go beyond their own limits to discover. Pioneer is great for climbing and scrambling.

We make use of high quality materials for the Pioneer line. The basic construction is made of stainless steel and therefore virtually indestructible and hooligan-proof. The top connection of the equipment is a specially shaped welded piece, which we cover with polyurethane caps, a very strong and flexible plastic.

We make the other connections with aluminium clamps. We cover these clamps with a plastic egg made of impact-resistant TPU. The floors and climbing walls are made from HMPE. The slides are also made of stainless steel. The nets are made of 16mm Hercules rope with a steel kernel.

The programme has a modular structure.

Because of the unique mounting system, we can make customized devices, made to the size and requirements to the wishes of every age group.

The programme also offers solitary appliances such as horizontal bars, swings, slides and carousels.

In short: with the Pioneer line we can supply you a complete playground that meets all wishes and needs!

DESIGNING ACCORDING TO THE 4 TYPES OF PLAY For children, a playground is not only for playing, but also to socialise. In this space different rules apply than at home or school. Rules that largely stem from the children themselves. In order to encourage children to play their games, it is important that the playground is filled with challenges and stimulations. A good playground has play opportunities for every type of child. A place where they can sit or play quietly, where there is room for sports, climbing, playing hide-and-seek, talk and/or isolate themselves. There is enough room for games with clearly defined rules, and games in which children can fantasise and set their minds free. This is why BOERplay prefers to think in terms of the entire playground, rather than merely the equipment itself.

By providing space for different types of play, children learn how to handle conflicts, play together, be aware of each other and listen to one another. BOERplay categorises these as follows:

Children seeking a lot of structure; they consciously search for a reason to play.

PLAYGROUND SURFACES Falling is part of the game. Of course, the prevent is better than to cure. If you fall anyway, it is important that the surface prevents unnecessary injury. Fall Surfacing under a Playground Set must comply with EN 1177.

BOERplay (playground) equipment is designed so that a grass area is often sufficient. In addition, there are many other artificial surfaces that could be used as impact absorbing floor material, e.g. (colored) artificial turf or rubber cast floors with playful motives. Below is a brief overview of different possible surfaces. If in doubt, always contact your sales representative.

Rubber cast Rubber casts are made of UV- and ozone resistant material with an EPDM topcoat. Thanks to this top layer, the casting floor is resistant to wear and remains colourfast for a long time. In this way, you can create playful shapes and forms such as water features. In addition, cast rubber is vandalism-proof due to the lack of seams.

Artificial turf Artificial turf has excellent soil substrate properties and good drainage so that rainwater can drain off quickly. It can be made in many colours, shapes and figures.

Tiger mulch Tiger mulch is a non-slip surface with a natural look. This substrate is made of recycled rubber chips and, in combination with polyamide, is hard-formed into a solid, flat surface.

With our suppliers we make solid agreements in the way they are responsible for their chain liability to comply with our Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) policy. We design and develop our equipment ourselves. During design the starting point is the Dutch sustainability norm (which succeeds that of the EU). We meet the prescribed sustainability criteria, as set up by PIANOo

CRADLE TO CRADLE We design with a quality that by definition guarantees a lifespan of at least 15 years. This is why we use high quality materials such as: - FSC® certified wood (class 1) - Stainless steel (304 / 320 cut with a minimum thickness of 2 mm) - Galvanised and powder coated steel - Aluminium - Hercules rope, nets and ropes made of 16mm vandal-proof Hercules rope, made from 6 strands - Rebo plastics, made of recycled household plastics (approx. 315 million plastic bottles) and industrial waste.

LOW MAINTENANCE We believe that after installation our equipment ought to need little maintenance, keeping as much budget available for new, extra playgrounds. This is why we design equipment with low maintenance costs, a long lifespan and a standard warranty of 15 years.

We place our equipment directly in the ground. We use a minimum of concrete foundation, so after they are depreciated our materials can easily be removed or relocated.
