THANK YOU FOR SUPPORTING YOUR PARKS VOLUNTEER We may be biased, but we think Parks & Recreation events are some of the best times in Boerne. Come lend a hand at our events. It’s a great way to have fun while supporting your community and earning service hours for work or school.
ADVERTISE Promote your organization by advertising with the Parks & Recreation Department. Increase name recognition with an ad in next year’s guidebook or a banner on one of our softball field fences. Get the word out by sponsoring an event or running a commercial during a Movies in the Park night.
ADOPT A PARK OR TRAIL Nothing brings people together like volunteering in the great outdoors. Adopting a Boerne park or trail is a great way to boost teamwork through community service. We’ll put your group to work doing litter pickup, landscaping, weeding, watering, planting and more. It never fails to create a bond. Take it from someone who knows, like these past and current Boerne park adopters: Veterans of Foreign Wars Boerne Soccer Club Boerne Middle School Post 688 FC Thunder North City Lake Park City Park Cibolo Trail River Road Park Veterans Park
MEMORIAL BENCH Commemorate your loved ones with a memorial bench in one of our city parks. Each bench has space for a plaque to recognize the organization, donor, or loved one being honored.
MEMORIAL TREE With our Memorial Tree Program, you can honor your loved ones and give a gift to the whole community. Memorial trees are planted in our city parks, and each tree is marked with a commemorative plaque in the honoree’s name. 2024 PARKS AND RECREATION GUIDEBOOK
