Real Estate Market Update

Despite COVID, Bocook Realty is up 44%

over last year! This increase can be contributed to historically low interest rates and a rise in new construction inventory that had been lacking in the market for several years. The market is also booming because of the highly sought-after new schools that have recently opened: the new middle school, the two new elementary schools, and the mega high school that is on the way. But most notably, we’re proud of how we’ve created our own success by going virtual on all of our listings with new video walkthroughs and 3D virtual tours. By taking the lead in this modern approach of selling real estate, we’ve made it easier for buyers to identify and fall in love with a home without leaving their computer or phone. If you are thinking about listing your home, no one is more equipped and prepared.

Richmond Hill Coming Together

Meet Principal Mobley! You don’t have to talk to Dr. Brittney Mobley, the principal of Frances Meeks Elementary School, for very long to realize that she’s an educator who cares deeply about the community. She’s lived in Richmond Hill with her family ever since the school system brought her here almost four years ago, and she warmly admits that “there’s no better place to raise a family.” As she put it, “it’s a place with a hometown feel and community support that’s rare to find.”

Dr. Mobley started her career journey as a teacher eighteen years ago. Over the years, she worked up the ranks in neighboring Liberty County, and then most recently held the position of Assistant Principal of Richmond Hill Elementary for the past two years. This year, she’s excited about being a part of the opening of the new elementary school. “It’s going to be exciting,” said Dr. Mobley. “We have teachers coming from all the different schools in Richmond Hill, and the school has created an opportunity to bring families and the community together in a new way.”

Meet Shannon Bocook

Of Bocook Home Rentals We are proud to announce that Shannon Bocook, Randy’s wife and a key leader of the Bocook Realty team, is the new manager of Bocook Home Rentals! Owners trust us with their homes and that is a huge responsibility, and one that Shannon and her team take very seriously. As Shannon put it, “it’s all about relationships,” and Shannon will undoubtedly bring both her warmth and attention to detail to the role. “It is very important to have systems in place and to over communicate,” said Shannon. “I love making our systems more efficient and taking the time to let each owner know how their home looks. I go the extra mile on my communication and provide great service every time because I care about our owners and their investment.”

Shannon also understands the stress of a new tenant trying to find a home that meets their needs, and she listens closely and works hard to match each tenant with the perfect home. “When it comes to repairs,” said Shannon, “I stay personally involved in the process because it’s important to me that we meet the tenants’ needs and don’t drain the owners’ pockets.” We see our tenants as extended members of our family, and Shannon is always working to make sure that her clients know we care. “It wouldn’t be true Bocook giving fashion if we didn’t send our tenants that ‘just had a baby congratulations’ card or our owners that ‘thank you for allowing us to manage your home’ card.” Shannon truly loves being a hands-on leader, and she cares deeply about her clients. We look forward to watching Shannon bring Bocook Home Rentals to a new level!

Meet The Ealys

Buyer Spotlight

It takes a special kind of couple to move across the country in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, but Cory and Ashley Cain-Ealy, are just that! They were married in August 2019 and are due this August with their first child, a baby boy. Originally from Wisconsin, the couple moved to Richmond Hill at the beginning of June when Cory was assigned to Hunter Army Airfield. Their home buying experience, like that of so many others during this unprecedented time, was anything but ordinary. “We were unable to travel due to quarantine,” said Cory, “so we had to shop for houses online. We took virtual tours and watched short videos sent to us by the Bocook Team.” The couple would send a text in the morning about a house they wanted to see, and Ashley or Harrison would run out that same day to show them the home virtually. If the couple wasn’t available to FaceTime, the team would upload a video of the home onto the Bocook website. “We could view the video as many times as needed,” said Cory. “This made a world of difference for us and helped us to make a final decision.” “Without the help of the Bocook Team,” said Cory, “we would have had a hard time purchasing a home virtually during COVID-19. But, within a week of contacting Ashley, we found a house we loved, all thanks to the determination and commitment of Ashley and Harrison!” Now that they are settled, the couple looks forward to enjoying the Savannah sun with their baby boy.

If one thing is for certain during these unusual times, it’s that companies thrive when they are able to adapt and change the way they do business to provide what

their clients need in a helpful way. Here at Bocook Realty, we’ve introduced 3D Home Tours so that our buyers are able to view homes from a distance – from the safety and comfort of their own living rooms. Feedback has been overwhelmingly positive from both buyers and sellers alike. As the world relies more and more on technology for their research, shopping, and connectivity, we plan to continue to offer these digital tours even once we are on the other side of COVID-19. It’s a new age of real estate! View homes for sale in Richmond Hill in 3D at bocookrealty.com/blog. Thanks to everyone who sent in photos of their summer adventures! Pictured here are the Balios who recently traveled to Greenville, SC! Going on a vacation this summer? Come by our office at 50 Edsel Drive in Richmond Hill to get a flag. Tag the Bocook Realty Facebook page in a post, and we will enter you in our monthly drawing!
