1. Price is everything. Know what the market says about what the price should be. 2. Pack up. Less is more. Buyer’s want to envision what they would do with the space. 3. Find a Realtor that takes 3D Virtual Tours, A full range of HD photos, drone shots and is a Premier Agent on Zillow. (That’s Us!!)Your home will stand out! 4. Keep your home ready to sell at all times. Make the beds and do the dishes. 5. Get feedback after every showing and adjust when necessary. Grand Dad’s Stuffed Alligator has to go!! 6. Don’t treat negotiations as a winner-takes-all. Make it a win-win for you and the buyer. With that being said, let’s get all we can LOL! 7. Don’t tell friends, family and especially neighbors your plans on selling, the price, or your timeline. The world is small and word could get back to a potential buyer that you “Have to Sell before Summer.” 8. No offers or low offers on your home? Lower your price even if it’s a little. It will allow your home to pop up on the search criteria for the search portals (Zillow).

9. Your Realtor is your partner. You both have the same goal: to sell your home at the highest price, on your time frame. Work together on feedback, showing advice, and most importantly the price. 10. Don’t talk to the buyer. Being nice is okay, but buyers have a habit of probing sellers for information. “Why are you selling”, “Where are you going”, “What does yours husband/wife do.” I tell my sellers to play dumb and answer as little as you can and if painted in a corner tell them “Randy Bocook and my wife/husband are very good friends and they are handling the home selling part.” It works!

Some of my favorite childhood memories were watching Victory Garden and This Old House with my “grand-

mama” in her living room in Douglas, GA. We would drink orange crush and dream about the possibilities of doing what they did on TV to her 1960’s farmhouse. As a little girl, I can remember believing that anything was possible with the right tools and a plan. Looking back I know that is where my love of real estate (and planning) really took root. Later, When my husband and I first got married we were given advice that really resonated with us... Buy a

home with potential, make it better and then sell it for a profit (with the goal being to pay your mortgage off in half the time!) This advice opened a world of possibilities for us. After 15 years of buying/selling homes and being a teacher/librarian I knew it was time to take a leap of faith and make real estate my full time career. My husband David and I have met many amazing people in our real estate journey of building, remodeled and/ or redesigned our homes in the Savannah and Richmond Hill areas. I know that God put those people in my path for a reason. One of those people was Jonathan Goodman of Cornerstone Homes. Our experience building our last home with him helped me realize I could (and should) do real estate as my career! And just like the overused saying goes “Turn your passion into a career and you’ll never ‘work’ a day in your life.” It may be overused but it is the truth! I wake up every morning knowing that I will work hard but I will love every second of it! Now I get to use my unique experience and training as an educator to teach people the steps to buying, selling or building a home. I get the best of both worlds. My experience in real estate is what makes me a unique realtor! Randy and Shannon have always told me that I should turn my passion into a career .
