BOCA RATON | NEW YORK | LOS ANGELES | CHICAGO | DALLAS | GENEVA | LONDON | HONG KONG | TEL AVIV | DUBAI | PANAMA | MOSCOW
Dear Premier Club Member, One of the great family events at the Resort & Club signifies the arrival of Spring; the Easter egg hunt held on the driving range. I attended my first Boca Easter egg hunt two years ago and learned a lot about the membership’s kids. As many of you know, my wife and I are blessed with a daughter with Down syndrome. She has participated in both Easter egg hunts and by no means is passive about collecting the plastic eggs; but she’s maybe not as quick as some of the other kids. As each of the last

two events came to a close, countless member children shared some of their surplus eggs with my daughter; it made her day while providing evidence that the Resort & Club’s future is bright, warm and caring. The Resort & Club is a special place and I trust that those fortunate enough to grow up here would agree. We continue to work on the allocation of available capital to not only maintain the buildings and grounds, but to also add new amenities thus adding new experiences. Time is the commodity, experiences are the currency and memories reflect wealth. We’ll continue to work hard to provide you with facilities and events that make those memories. The Easter/Passover holy holidays also denote the unofficial end of the winter season. For those who will return to their northern residences, I wish you safe travels and a wonderful summer. As for those of you who remain, we’ll take every opportunity to give the proverbial Easter eggs to others to simply make the world a better place.

Share the good times – and an order of Molcajete Guacamole – with family and friends. The guacamole is made to order, using only Hass avocados at the peak of ripeness, and served with crisp tortilla chips or an assortment of dipping vegetables, including jicama and watermelon radish.

Once again, spring has proven to be a delicious inspiration for Chef Adam Pile and the culinary team at Lucca. The new spring menu features an abundant crop of fresh seasonal ingredients, such as fava beans, ramps (spring onions), spring garlic, beans, mushrooms, leeks, sweet corn and English peas in addition to Member favorites, including Veal Osso Buco Milanese, Scallops Picatta, organic whole wheat pizzettas and pasta.
Of course, it wouldn’t be spring at Lucca without a special selection of menu offerings featuring tender spring lamb. Chef Adam will be cooking up fresh ideas for melt-off-thebone slow-cooked shanks, flavorful shoulder chops and the always impressive rack of lamb.

From the Desk of Cindi Moreno, Spa Director Being a mom, wife, and spa director can be very stressful at times. It’s not easy to find time for all the people in my life, let alone myself. Cancer, Heart Disease, Alzheimer’s disease … A common thread
Did you know that heart disease, cancer, Alzheimer’s disease, strokes and diabetes all have something in common? How does lifestyle modification play a role in these entities? The answer is simple all of these entities start with a basic cause – inflammation. Inflammation in the vessel, a cell, an organ or a tissue of the body is a controllable factor, that can be modified by lifestyles choices you make.. The environment we live in, food choices, habits e. g. alcohol and smoking, insufficient exercise, lack of meditation and not managing stress all contribute to the inflammatory process.

Since I left my career as a cardiovascular surgeon in 1981 I have dedicated my studies on the science of how we can enlighten individuals to modify the course of all chronic disease. For the previous 7 years I have looked and concentrated on Managing the Aging Process. Now I am recommitting to helping both the youth of today as well as those over the age 30 in realizing that you can educate yourself and make better choices that will allow you to both slow chronic disease and prevent illness in the first place. We at ELM have answers and state of the art equipment that leads you on the path to better more vibrant health. It is been more than 15 months since Rick Hayduk and I created a medical model that would allow BRRC premier members and guests, a choice to live healthier. Our solution to this dilemma was to bring about a medical screening program and intervene both medically and through lifestyle modification by creating Enlightened Living Medicine (ELM) and the Enlightened Lifestyle programs(EL). Now all premier members of the BRRC can take advantage of the state-of-the-art facility located in the same corridor as the famous Waldorf-Astoria Spa Palazzo. Come and visit for a free tour of our medical screening program or consultation on how ELM can change yourhealth, reduce inflammation and modify or correct all of the chronic diseases of our society. You Can’t Judge a Book by Its Cover Max-Steven Grossman is a master of digital manipulation, crafting works that appear whole but are made from an assortment of parts. The artist studied engineering before falling for photography. This background is reflected in his approach to picture taking, which he turns it into a process of assembly and invention. The Bookscape series features life-sized and larger-than-life-sized photographs. Grossman presents images of shelves stuffed with enviable book collections, each focused on a single subject. Themes include art, rock ‘n’ roll, fashion, music and architecture – none of them picture an actual, existing collection. The growing trend toward digital instead of printed books is an underlying element of Grossman’s work. To make these photographs, the artist painstakingly assembles individual images of books found on an assortment of bookshelves, as if to mimic the process of building an actual collection. “I think people enjoy these images because they’re relatable,” he once said. “They’re welcoming, and the relationship each viewer experiences is personal.” For more information, please contact Baker Sponder Gallery at 241-3050 or info@bakerspondergallery.com. < Max-Steven Grossman, Fashion V4, 2014, photograph 74 x 37 inches.
