Dear Premier Club Members, I’M ESPECIALLY EXCITED ABOUT SPRING THIS YEAR, and I hope you are, too. We’ve filled up the Resort & Club calendar with new programming, old favorites, and time-honored holiday traditions. I’d like to highlight a few of the exceptional March events planned for the gourmands, wine aficionados, and craft cocktail enthusiasts among us. The next event in our popular Corks & Conversations Series will feature Louis Latour Grand Cru Burgundies, the largest Grand Cru Domaine in Burgundy and among the most storied and prestigious wines in the world. This magnificent, multi-course dinner will be held in the Cathedral on March 12, and promises to be a rare oenological and culinary experience. As if a Grand Cru dinner were not impressive enough, we will also welcome celebrity Iron Chef Masaharu Morimoto to the Resort & Club this month. Chef Morimoto, who is a renowned restaurateur and author, will host an omakase-style cooking demonstration and dinner on March 19. These events are filling up, so be sure to make your reservations early. Finally, I’m pleased to announce the return of our Bar Takeover series! We’re inviting worldrenowned bartenders to take command of various venues around the Club and put their own unique stamp on them. This month’s installments will feature celebrity mixologists A-K Hada and Nico de Soto, and we already have two additional Bar Takeover Artists-In-Residence lined up for next month. Looking ahead to April, a number of activities will revolve around the spring holidays of Passover and Easter including our Passover Seder, Grand Easter Brunch and our annual Easter Egg Hunt. Our restaurants are also preparing special holiday-themed menus, so there are plenty of celebration options for everyone. I wish all of you good health and happiness as we head into spring.

Renowned bartenders from the top bars around the country are returning for a new season of Bar Takeovers where they will transform a variety of venues around the Club into their own iconic bars. A-K Hada Existing Conditions, New York City March 20 & 21 | Bar Luna Originally from Atlanta, A-K Hada moved to New York to expand her bartending career, working her way up to head bartender at the world-renown PDT and recently became general manager at Dave Arnold and Don Lee’s Greenwich Village bar, Existing A-K Hada Conditions. March 24 | 6 - 9 pm Local artist Colleen Thompson will instruct members on how to create a custom portrait of their pet using an easy to follow, step-by-step process. Pilates is much more than working your abs. It’s about standing taller, strengthening postural muscles, improving balance, coordination and mobility. Pilates is an exercise that strengthens your “powerhouse?” The powerhouse muscles protect your back from potential injury, and if you already have a weak or problematic back, then strengthening the powerhouse can help. Working from the center of the body (the powerhouse) when doing any movement takes the load off of the joints and the spine and helps the body work more efficiently. Want to run a faster race, swim with more grace, catch yourself from falling? Then add Pilates to your life. A strong powerhouse is a sexy thing. Who doesn’t enjoy a toned belly, backside and legs? There are other benefits as well… internal ones. As we age, gravity affects our organs as well. By practicing Pilates frequently we can keep our internal girdle tight, keeping incontinence at bay. I told you, it’s a super-powered exercise program!
POWER of Pilates is a technique that challenges the mind-body connection, is gentle on the joints and teaches us how to breathe efficiently with our diaphragm. OF 2010,
Stephanie Kantis found herself in the heart of a small Mexican village embarking on her unexpected, next big adventure - jewelry designer. After nearly two decades as an interior designer growing her design firm and retail stores in Dallas, Texas, it was this pivotal point in the mountains of central Mexico that would change everything. Stephanie and her husband had put a halt on her next big interiors project and agreed to high-tail it to Mexico for the summer to immerse themselves in another culture. They loved the beauty of the historic, Spanish colonial town and the romance of a village moving at a pace where one can still celebrate life's daily moments so much that they lived there nearly two years. Stephanie filled her days with exploring the village, art and ceramics classes, but it was in sculpture classes, while working with bronze, that it became obvious her smaller creations were unique and invitingly wearable. Stephanie is passionate about infusing diversity and culture into her brand.
