Names to Know at the Club
Are you ready to welcome Summer 2016? For those of you who remain in Boca Raton year-round, we have lots of great events planned — both annual favorites and new programs. I’d like to highlight two of our new programs. On June 22, we’ll be introducing a Members’ Texas Hold ‘em Poker Tournament – your big chance to test out that poker face you’ve been working on in the mirror! The stakes? Good clean fun – great gift certificates and spend credits will be up for grabs. And on the last Tuesday of each summer month, we’ll be hosting “Classics & Cocktails,” a celebration of classic autos. If you happen to own a classic car, or if you’re simply a vintage auto enthusiast, you should definitely plan to attend. We’ll serve a full cocktail menu as well as 2-for-1 tacos at Shaka Bar & Grill. Of course, I would be remiss not to mention our annual Independence Day BBQ celebrations, which get bigger and better every year. As usual, there’ll be plenty of entertainment options for all ages, including a special appearance by Gin Blossoms, live in concert for the July 3rd Family barbeque. We’ll host a huge party on the Grand Lawn at the Mizner Center – with a water park for the kids, a big barbecue, and an amazing fireworks display – and a few restaurants are

hosting special events as well. Some good news for the family budget: we’re running a Kids Eat Free program all summer long, with two great offers; see the dining section for more details. I’m pleased to report that we’ve made progress on our property improvement and modernization initiatives. You surely can’t miss the work being done on the golf course, which is well underway. We will keep you posted on the progress of that exciting project. In the meantime, we’ve completed the refurbishment of our Country Club Fitness Center, which included the installation of brand-new equipment – and we’ve received lots of positive feedback on the improvements! Finally, to enhance security, we have implemented our convenient new
