Since we last talked 60 days ago, the beef business has remained in unchartered territory, to the extent that optimism now is creating skepticism if we can sustain such momentum. Ultimately that is the lingering question in the back of everyone’s mind. Cowherd expansion is limited in the near term, beef demand by consumers remains strong amongst protein choices even at higher price levels and the sentiment among most Americans is that we are going to be better off than we were the past four years. Momentum for our product looks positive but with cautious optimism. Now is not the time to cut corners on genetics, nutrition, animal health and marketing. For the cow-calf producer, now is the time to seize the opportunity to “make hay” and strategically improve your genetic opportunity within your herd, and you can do that at Powerline by adding value and quality without breaking the bank
We recognize in today’s seedstock world of endless choices; we can remain steadfast in the belief that our customers are provided with one of the largest selections of SimAngus bulls in the country focused on quality and packed with value. Experience a Powerline sale, that refrains from the circus environment, we acknowledge that your time is money. We avoid the sale consultant speeches on every lot describing each pedigree intimately like they “really” know that cow. Buy bulls from someone that actually buys progeny from the bulls they sell, and not just talk about how they’ll get you premiums for your bull investment.
Just as in the past, Powerline remains focused on cattle that are the “good kind” regardless of breed type. Our breeding programs have refrained from chasing numbers as sacrificing quality just to brag numbers doesn’t create the offering we want for our customers. We continue to believe in the benefits of crossbreeding and the undeniable heterosis it brings to “amp” up any herd and not change the integrity of what you want your cattle to be. We remain focused on bulls that sire conveniently born calves with size and vigor to get them through the toughest conditions. We expect consistent growth and performance to maximize weaned potential, and we continue to seek extended maturity and longevity for both feeding and replacement environments.
I’ve said in the past that we strive to make the beef industry stronger by bringing high quality genetics to the marketplace. We are founded in 40+years of sound breeding decisions and backed with years of data collection of DNA samples, feeding records, and PAP scoring. We confidently know Powerline Genetics Bulls are making a difference in the business!
We welcome you to evaluate our sales offering and reach out with any questions. Bobbi Hartwig and Deryl Riley are both focused on providing the guidance to help our customers and potential customers make genetic progress within their operations with Powerline Genetics. Thank you for considering Powerline Genetics. Each of you are why we love the business. We appreciate the continued support by our loyal customers and always welcome new conversations and the potential for new relationships.
On behalf of Powerline Genetics THANK YOU for your consideration,
Jeff Stagemeyer

All bulls have been scrotal measured, and fertility tested prior to the sale by Powerline Genetics’ veterinarian and sell with BSE documentation and are guaranteed breeders at time of sale. The guarantee becomes void if the bull suffers from an injury or disease after leaving Powerline’s possession or by the negligence or willful misconduct of the buyer. In the event that a bull fails a subsequent semen test after purchase and prior to turnout, it is the buyer’s responsibility to contact Powerline or a Powerline representative immediately so that the situation can be remedied. Powerline then has the right to re-test the bull. If at that time, it is determined that the bull is unable to breed cows, the seller at their discretion, will issue credit for another sale, or replace the animal with another of equal value in full settlement and satisfaction. In no event shall the seller bear the responsibility of more than the purchase price.
Powerline Genetics, LLC has insurance available for the first breeding season for all bulls sold on the March 14th Arapahoe Sale. The coverage will provide traditional full Mortality coverage for death from all natural and accidental causes from the date of purchase through August 31st, 2025. Additionally, Loss of Use coverage is for in the event that a bull is unable to naturally cover cows due to injury. Examples of such injuries include stifle, broken leg, or broken tool. All injuries must be diagnosed by a veterinarian and immediately reported to Powerline Genetics, LLC. A claim shall occur if after fourteen continuous days following the date of diagnosis and first report, the bull cannot be returned to natural service. Loss of Use Claims will be settled at 80% of the purchase price until July 15th, 2025 and 60% of the purchase price from July 16th, 2025 through August 31st, 2025. Mortality and Loss of Use coverage is 5% of the purchase price due at settlement on sale day.
Salvage, if any belongs to Powerline Genetics LLC. Injured bulls shall be returned to Powerline Genetics Bull Development Center or to a Powerline Genetics Marketing Representative before settlement will be made. It is the full responsibility of the buyer to maintain the salvage value of the bull until returned to Powerline. Failure to do so results in negligence and voids this policy. Applicable settlement will be made after any salvage value has been determined. Settlement can be check or credit towards another Powerline Genetics Sale.
ABSOLUTELY NO INSURANCE CLAIM WILL BE PAID WITHOUT A PAID PREMIUM AND A VETERINARIAN CERTIFICATE.
IT IS HIGHLY ENCOURAGED THAT BULLS BEING LEFT AT THE YARD OR IN THE POSSESSION OF POWERLINE AT THE CONCLUSION OF THE SALE BE INSURED. POWERLINE DOES NOT ASSUME RESPONSIBILITY FOR INJURY, MORTALITY, OR INFERTILITY ONCE THE BULL IS SOLD.

The cattle in this offering have been DNA sire verified, tested for coat color, and BVD tested. DNA was ran using the 100k panel to generate Genomically Enhanced EPDs. EPDs were pulled during the week of February 10th, 2025. Bulls that land in the top 35% of the breed for a given value or EPD have been highlighted in GREEN. Bulls were ultrasounded on January 31st, and those in the sale that scanned with a 3.0 or higher marbling score and a 14.0 inch or larger ribeye, have their values identified in GREEN as well. The diagram below indicates which traits to look at based on your end goals. We identify the amount of Simmental each bull possesses, and that value is a combination of registered and commerical Simmental when applicable. Embryo transfer bulls are identified in the birthweight portion of the Performance Data with an ET.
