he Los Angeles County is very close to meeting the metric thresholds for the less restrictive red tier in the California state's Blueprint for a Safety Economy. This week, L.A. County's adjusted case rate dropped to 7.2 new c a ses per 100,000 people and the test positivity rate is 3.5%. The county’s case rate needs to remain at or below 7 new cases per 100,000 residents for two consecutive weeks to move to the less restrictive red tier. If L.A. County moves into the red tier next week and stays in that tier for two consecutive weeks, schools will then be eligible to reopen in-person learning for students in grades 7 through 12. ThE Johnson & Johnson vaccine has been authorized for use in the US and many are probably wondering how different is this vaccine with those delivered by Pfizer and Moderna? During a press conference on Monday, leading government health expert Dr. Anthony Fauci said the J&J shot is different with the Pfizer and Moderna shots because it is an adenovirus shot and “injects viral DNA into a person’s arm.” This is unlike the Pfi zer and Moderna shots that use mRNA (messenger RNA). The vaccine train the body to learn how to

fight the COVID-19 virus by injecting the said mRNA into a person's deltoid muscle located on the shoulder. The injected mRNA, according to Fauci, provides the codes for the body to produce spike protein. Without the mRNA, the spike
