ON THE DISTRICT'S NEW PARTNERSHIP WITH OHIOGUIDESTONE “I definitely think that is a good idea, because it provides a way for kids to talk to a trained professional without needing to talk to their parents about it right away, because that can be really hard. It also provides students support and can be used to give them helpful resources.” ~ Sophia Mitton-Fry

ON PLAYING SPORTS DURING COVID-19 “We just have to wear a mask, try to stay apart, and check for symptoms before we come to practice or games. I think these rules make sense because we need to be super cautious in order for us to be able to play and actually have a season.” ~ Sydney Werner

ON REMOTE LEARNING “I think since we had to be online in March that I got used to sitting down at my house for hours at a time and doing schoolwork, so this isn’t a huge change. Other than having to be on Zoom, it’s the same thing as in March. Since I was in-person for part of this year and then switched, I got both sides of how this year is going. I think that online is a lot easier to manage. I get a lot of downtime and time to work on what I need to do, there are fewer distractions, and I’m able to listen to music or something whenever I want to. It’s a lot more relaxed doing online, but I still feel like I’m learning just as much.” ~ Natalie Simmons

BLACK LIVES MATTER “I think it’s great that people are really starting to work together to help gain more attention on the movement especially, through social media.” ~ Claire Garland

ON WEARING A MASK “I don’t feel like it’s necessary to wear it all day because we don’t wear it during lunch with the plexiglass dividers which are nice breaks. I think if we don’t have to wear it with the dividers, we shouldn’t have to wear it in other classes when we sit with plexiglass dividers like English in the library or study hall in the cafeteria.” ~Wilson Foster

DEALING WITH STRESS “I think the biggest way to deal with stress would be to remember time won’t be stopping anytime and you get done as much as you can. Once something passes worrying is just useless and a waste of energy.” ~ Dilnoza Khuseynova
