THE 80s Style and music were ‘tubular’ BY MAX KING The 80s were a decade filled with wild hair styles and radical new fashion trends. Giant puffy hair was all the rage for many women, and mullets were extreamly popular for men. Everyone who was anyone wanted a Walkman or a giant boombox to listen to Micheal Jackson and Madonna, and when things got a bit chilly, there were bright neon leg warmers and color-coordinated windbreaker jumpsuits to keep warm.

Baggy jeans and mullets may have seemed like a thing of the past, but take a look around and you may realize that these 80s fads may not be gone for good. Though Walkmans and giant boomboxes may not be making a return so many other 80s fads are. Jean jackets and jorts are making a comeback-- just ask senior Garrett Sharps about “Jorts Tuesdays”!
