In the garden or park It is so nice to spend time outside. On high-energy days, go play football, run together, play tag. For all other days, you might want to take a look at this chapter’s suggestions. They’re all good weather suggestions for in the garden or nearby park. I have tried and tried but not found relaxing games to play in rainy weather. When it rains, we go outside and run through and stamp in puddles, catch raindrops with our mouths and get soaking wet – and then have a relaxing time drinking hot chocolate in dry clothes, sitting next to the radiator. It’s the same with snow: I can’t think of anything you could do without it being cold and energy-consuming, and the things that keep me going are the fun and the prospect of a hot drink. This chapter, therefore, is incomplete. For a more comprehensive next edition of this book, I hope that you’ll send your bad-weather suggestions to: willem@totallychilledoutparenting.com
