Method

Mix your milk and vinegar and leave it to get sour.

Sift all those dry ingredients with your all-purpose flour.

Add the egg, butter and vanilla to your milk mixture.

Then stir this into the flour until you get a smooth texture.

What's on that Christmas Menu?

Jamaican Chrismus usually comes wid nuff food. Dinner with family is a must at Christmas time with a menu filled with mouthwatering meals. A nice pot of bubbling mannish water

will buss the gas before the main course. Soon everybody digs into the curried goat, baked chicken, roast fish and gungo peas and rice. A good serving of potato salad, macaroni and cheese outdo the small portion of vegetables on the plate.

Right after that, a tall glass of sorrel juice, strong with ginger and a generous pouring of Red Label Wine or the JB is served. At Christmas time, even the blooming babies get a likkle taste of every likkle ting.

One of the sweetest things about Christmas time is having a newborn who will experience his or her first Christmas.

Although too tiny to understand the meaning of the festivities, a baby's first Christmas is usually a big deal . At Christmas time, some get dressed up as Santa Claus or Santa's little elf and even though your baby can't tell its Christmas, they sometimes end up with the biggest gift of all.

BBJ contacted Dr. Sherona WrightMcAllister for an exciting interview to tap into her interesting world of ballet and blooming babies!

1. What does being a Blooming Baby Mama mean to you?

Being a Blooming Baby Mama means I’m growing into something beautiful and admirable despite the grueling and sacrificial process.

4. Please share the vision behind Ballet Bloom and where you see your blooming brand in another few years?

Whilst being a mom, I’ve come to realize there are things I’ve always wanted to do but never had the opportunity to, yet 2. Tell us about 2 of the most motherhood has caused me to be bold interesting things about you? and courageous in taking a chance.

6. Is there anything special that your followers can look forward to for this special season?

Oh yes. I’m looking to do some special, in person, holiday workshops (using covid protocols of course) and putting out even more tutorials persons all can benefit from.

7. Who would you like to acknowledge for helping to provide inspiration and direction for Ballet Bloom?

I’d love to acknowledge my husband Nick and friends Ruthie, Jess and Dimitri, who believed I have something unique and inspiring that I can share with other women/moms.

Prayer

Lord, we come before you with a grateful heart for allowing us to reach thus far in the year 2020, although this has been a year of great loss. For some, it has been loved ones. For some its has been jobs, For some it has been good health. Despite this, we are grateful for taking us through this year. We have experienced loss of some kind but we still pause to celebrate this season. Lord, help us not to focus on our problems but on the real reason for the season. Lord you gave of yourself to a lost and dying world for us to be saved. As we celebrate the birth of Jesus Christ, we also remember the death of Jesus Christ who came into this world in order to save us. We pray that as we celebrate this season, we will celebrate through the acts of kindness, love, patience and faithfulness. We pray that we will have divine protection throughout the rest of 2020 and as a new year is ushered in. We are uncertain of what the new year will bring but we are certain that you are God in all seasons and for that, we give you thanks.

May we all have the real blessing of spiritual things and not just material things. We give you thanks and all glory. In Jesus' name.

Amen.
