Beauty Point’s Social Club meets on the first Tuesday of every month in the Auditorium. There are a few exceptions to this like the first Tuesday of November as we had our Melbourne Cup Function. As always, the date and time of our meeting is in our Monthly Calendar.

OASIS Peakhurst: It’s all starting to happen.

We recently asked George Jabbour, Director at Retirement Your Way, to describe the vision for the eagerly awaited OASIS Peakhurst retirement apartments.

“It will be an exclusive community of boutique, contemporary and smart urban residences.”

George added. “We’re creating a sophisticated but inclusive neighbourhood. And all close to the parts of Sydney we know and love.”

The new brochure for OASIS Peakhurst has people even more excited, with stunning visuals including a heated, indoor pool and spa, onsite restaurant-café, sky-garden BBQ, communal lounge and sun-lit library spaces.

Judy Blomdahl is an OASIS Peakhurst purchaser who signed up off the plan. Persuaded by the rare offering of a spacious 3-bedroom unit in Peakhurst, she was “over the moon” when she saw the designs.

With the benefit of our marketing consultancy Brand Partners, we thought it timely for a spring clean to ensure we capture all the amazing benefits of living at Beauty Point.

The Social Club is a much-loved part of our village with money raised from raffles going towards buying cakes for birthday bashes, entertainers and prizes for functions and new games for residents.

We also run at least one Saturday night function per year, subsidised

by Social Club fundraising. This year, it was a Black & White Night which was a great success.

Our Christmas functions are legendary and something we look forward to every year.

A former lift mechanic, Abe is a licensed electrical contractor and oversees our team of two ‘Jack of all Tradesmen’ as well as landscapers, electricians, plumbers, plasterers and carpenters.

Being a hands-on manager means he’s very familiar with challenges of keeping so many homes in good working order. Abraham works closely with all our residents and enjoys getting to know them, during his day to day jobs. Along with a lot of satisfied Beauty Point residents, he’s also a proud Dad of two teenagers.

Extra help, extra care, every day.

Now here’s a service that’s perfect for any retiree requiring that little extra help, day to day, to keep their independence.

HomeCare Your Way is an individualised support and care plan, accessed via a Government subsidised home care package or on a pay-as-you-go basis… and an option for all residents.

Beauty Point resident Gerry Steele says he’d had a similar service before taking up HomeCare Your Way, “but, it’s nothing like I’m getting now.”

You’ll be surprised how simple it really is.

Water Aerobics. There’s plenty of Beauty Point residents who’ll tell you - a session of gentle aquatic exercise each week really helps. And with Summer coming on, a regular dip and workout will be extra refreshing.

Your cup of Tai Chi! Even while you’re enjoying retirement, life can get stressy.

A relaxing session of Tai Chi will help you clear troubled minds and relax tense bodies. Clear your mind. Breathe. Relaaaax.

Our superior Shufflers! Congratulations goes out to our victorious Beauty Point Boomers Shuffleboard team who recently took on all-comers and took out the recent October inter-village Shuffleboard Tournament. Great shuffling, team!

Have a Black & White Ball! Beauty Point’s much anticipated Black & White Ball is back again, in all its glory. The ball is a huge success and everyone looks forward to the night of dazzling dancing and sparkling company.

Full MooOOOoon Dinner! Due to popular demand, Beauty Point’s famous Full Moon Dinner is back! It’s a hooowwwl lot of fun, fine dining and the odd drink or three.

The Lunch that stopped a Nation!

Beauty Point’s annual Melbourne Cup Function was an odds-on winner. We had plenty of backsides trackside who all enjoyed lunch,

drinks, sweeps and the big race. Our stylish resident’s Hat Parade also helped top off a wonderful Cup day.

Merry Xmas & Happy Mid-Year!

Our Christmas in July was so enjoyable, we’ve only just recovered to write about it. We’ll have a practice run in late December, with around 120 friends expected to join the festive celebrations of Beauty Point’s Christmas!
