Georgie’s Pear & almond cake

1 tbs brown sugar

150g almond meal

150g butter

2tbs self raising flour

3/4 cup caster sugar

2 just ripe pears

2 eggs lightly beaten Preheat oven to 180Ëš, grease and line an oblong Sprinform baking tin (as shown) with baking paper. Sprinkle brown sugar over paper. Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy, add eggs one at a time until well combined. Add almond meal, flour and cream, beat until smooth. Quarter and core pears & slice vertically. Layer the pear slices in the tin, then spoon in cake mix and press the batter down. Bake 45 mins.
