NEWS: DISTRIBUTION

New era for Martin Audio in Indonesia INDONESIA

Martin Audio has appointed PT Goshen Swara Indonesia as its new exclusive distributor in the archipelago. The UK brand was previously represented for over 15 years by PT Citra Intirama and Rhema Multi Perkasa (RMP) under the stewardship of Eric Haslim. The Jakarta switch was made by Martin Audio APAC representative Generation AV. Generation AV founder Dave McKinney explained the rationale behind the appointment of PT Goshen. “PT Goshen covers all the vertical markets from touring and rental to all the installation markets,” he said. “PT Goshen’s MD, Cunario Suriya,

leads a terrific team of people, while Franky Cahyadi runs a highly motivated sales force. Furthermore, they have a highly capable technical team that will be able to provide product and system training to all our dealers and customers. PT Goshen is a great partner with an incredible customerfocused attitude, which fits perfectly with the Martin Audio culture.” Owing to the consistent efforts of Haslim and RMP over the years, Martin Audio is a highly established brand within the country’s entertainment sector. While retaining its dominance in entertainment, PT Goshen has been charged to expand market share

into other key vertical markets, including house of worship, live production, corporate and education. Having served as the long-term distributor in Indonesia for KV2, QSC and Shure amongst others, Goshen Swara’s relationship with Generation AV also incorporates LEA Professional. “It is a privilege to add the Martin Audio brand to our portfolio as it complements our other distributed brands,” added Suriya. “This inclusion enables us to offer full, endto-end systems to our customers.” www.martin-audio.com

Alcons Audio teams up with E’Spec in Japan JAPAN

Dutch loudspeaker manufacturer Alcons Audio has partnered with E’Spec Inc to distribute its products in Japan. The distributor was enticed by Alcons’ pro-ribbon technology and thinks its introduction into the Japanese market could make a big difference for both the biggest live music events to small, advanced home theatre setups. “For the past 20 years, there have been very few systems that feature truly innovative technology,” explained E’Spec’s Yoshiaki “Yoshi” Yamaguchi. “Currently, there is almost no difference in the system quality from different manufacturers. Equipment choice is based on slight differences in sound quality, cost performance and usability. The beautiful high-frequency range at high SPLs and minimal listener fatigue produced by Alcons’ pro-ribbon systems are powerful advantages, which we

E’Spec aims to change the Japanese market with Alcons know will interest many Japanese live sound engineers.” E’Spec Inc has offices in Osaka, Tokyo and Nagoya and coverage across all of Japan. “Our

aim is to showcase the many advantages of this technology that none of the other manufacturers has, so that users will not want to choose other systems in future. With Alcons, we are sure

that we can change the Japanese professional loudspeaker market,” furthered Yoshi. “With the high-end solutions we offer, and the specific positioning of Alcons in the market, we maintain a strict profile in our distribution policy,” added Tom Back, Alcons Audio’s cofounder and managing director. “It’s not about the numbers, it’s about quality and the end user focus in support and communication. The Japanese market is very tech-savvy, which we experience regularly in our patent applications. Based on the activities already set in motion by Joe Akiyama, Yoshi and their team, we very much look forward to teaming up and bringing our evolutionary audio solutions to the Japanese audio community.” www.alconsaudio.com www.e-spec.co.jp

We’re here with the technologies and the teams to make listening spectacular again. As an early adopter of L-ISA technology, DeltaLive is tasked with installing the first Island prototypes on L-Acoustics premises around the world and for special events.” The company has also announced the appointment of Nick Fichte as business manager for L-Acoustics Creations. Having previously worked at Crestron, Fichte has a strong background in AV for residential and marine applications. “We are very pleased to have Nick on board,” adds Heil. “L-Acoustics Creations brings a new way to experience music and home entertainment.
